what rear axle for an lsd and disk brakes? for my 82

wondering what rear axle I should swap into my 82 fb. I want disc brakes and possibly an lsd. Also Im going to get T3 rear coilovers so I would need those to still fit. Thank you for help

any gsl or gsle axle from any year. if gslse you'll have to get new wheels due to lug pattern change. if you get an 84-85 gsl rear axle you'll also need the driveshaft. you need the ebrake cables too, they're different.

Just to clarify, if you get a 1984 or 1985 you will need to use the entire rear end. The 1982 is small axle and swapping just the axles will not work because all 1984/1985 are big axle.

83 was a mut year . I've seen both small and large flanges on the 83.

'83 will have an early axle and late driveshaft.

That was 32 years ago, who knows what any given car will have on it now. But that is what Mazda built.

Wrong. You can swap the pinion flange on the axle and use the smaller (earlier) driveshaft
