Had a very productive weekend as far as putting the car together goes. Finished Assembling the engine and shortening the transmission. got them put in the car as well as alot of the other easier stuff to swap over. Also put in my 3/8" fuel lines and added a flex section and resonator to my exhaust, changed a couple angles of pipe while doing it to make it fit better. Pics say 1000 words

looks great, motor back where it belongs. those rear tires really play into the sleeper approach. should last for one good smoke show. did you have any clearance problem with the water pump housing and the FB front cover? seeing your progress motivates me to get moving again. I'm ready to ditch my oil drain plan. Where did you get your turbo oil drain kit?

Well its been a long time since ive updated this thread. I have not finished the car but im getting alot closer.
Re-welded my sump cup and put it back in my gas tank then installed

I also put all my ECU wiring in the engine bay and started hooking some of it up, i have to figure out how i want to change it to adapt to the 85 body harness easier.

Used SEM to paint my dash black, it came out fantastic! looks oem or better and feels amazing too.

I found a cheap used set of Corbeau GTS 2 seats locally and picked them up. ideally id like black/black but the blue doesnt look too bad and they were cheap. if i end up loving these seats ill buy brand new black suede ones.

Heres a pic with the dash back in, and most of the interior back together. I finished the headliner too and reinstalled it, ill have to get a pic later. I snagged up one of our limited production weighted shiftknobs from Corksport. its a nice **** with some serious weight to it.

im really hoping to get this running soon because were starting the rainy season and i hate having to ride my bike in the rain.

I have had no updates for awhile because i got a new toy that took some of my focus.

This project seems like it has come to a halt, but i put it on my quarterly goals plan at work to have it finished (running & driving) by dec 30 so today is my first "work day" so we shall see what i can all get done.

Its all Good. As long as you have one 13b to drive. My 86 started took a liking to drinking coolant. My motavation went up, life sure gets in the alot! At least the SE is still annoying the neighbors

anytime Nico! you could drive it too if ya wanted. i really like the rx8 platform so far.
I got lots done yesterday on my car, no pics of corse, pics are for finish products!
Got done:
wiring power to ecu and testing operation
Installed Wideband (ngk afx)
wiring for fuel pump to ecu
Made a bracket to mount my trailing coil/relays
wired some more stuff under the hood
Finished installing stereo/dash stuff
Installed omp blockoff plate
and of corse, swapped hoods on the rx8 to the stock hood (**** CF hoods) and repaint the mesh grills dark grey.

Glad to know your busy at least
find a day coming up that your not working and ill drive out early in the morning and give ya a hand.
thanks, I'll take you on the offer one day. Right know I'm doing something every day, even if its only a few minutes. Drilled the battery box out last night. Damn people that never wash/rinse engine compartment. found some ugly rust holes under it. I'm going to start a build thread, and get some pics up. See what is thought about repair.

A small update
powered up the ecu, hooked up fuel pump control, works great.
wired in the wideband

Made a new bracket for my coil and relays, im going to send it to powdercoat as with a bunch of stuff in my engine bay.

Extended the front section of the engine bay harness to go up and under the core support.

Well i haven't updated in awhile so here it goes.........
Ive got lots done on the car lately, finally started to fab my vmount v2.
Got the radiator mounted, the mounts pictured are temporary just to help me get it all setup, then im gunna make some nice fancy powderocated mounts.

its sits even closer the the pulley than before, this time im under it rather than above it.

so then i mounted the IC and adjusted my old pipes to fit for now. also started mocking up my new intake.

mounted my oil cooler in an interesting place, im going to have to duct air up to here, im doing some solid works simulation to figure out the best way.

made some new -10 lines to fit

mounted my boost gauge

so i pretty much just have to do:
Duct vmount setup
install driveshaft/fill trans
hook up ignition triggers from ecu to coils
mount electric fans
fill with coolant
make tensioner for alt.
then......
START AND DRIVE!!!!!

Sweet, I was wondering what you had been up to. I like the Boost gauge location, looks clean. Your IC tubing is so Fat, short and simple. should support the next turbo with no problem.
i managed to sneak out to my cold garage and got so things done as well. Thinking at this rate I should have it on the road for my Birthday (early June)
