haha they do! i didnt think of that. one of them has a hole punched in it so im gunna replace with something a little more classy.

Some good news for the build, im moving to a new house were i will have a 2 car garage. so im going to put both my rx7s in there to swap parts over. Also started a new job at Corksport this week which will help me perfect some tig welding skills. so hopefully some serious progress starts soon!

Holy threadjackspam batman!

I don't suggest the ford rear. I hear it eats power at the expense of beefiness.

Yeah I have no idea what that is. I'll clean the thread up for you.

Sounds like a cool deal getting a job at Corksport, maybe you can help them with part quality lol

No problem

I've had a bunch of their parts and was never thrilled with any of them to be honest...

I had their header on my NA FC which was supposed to bolt up to the stock cat/catback but was nowhere close (not a huge issue since I was replacing the cat anyway) and the flange on the header (between header and cat) had the bolt holes spaced incorrectly. Again not a huge issue since I used an aftermarket flange to connect my cat to it, but the guy I later sold the header to complained about it to Corksport and they said it was a known error with the first batch but never offered to fix it for him. Weird.

I later got their downpipe (when I T2 swapped the car) which was nowhere close to lining up to my catback - the same catback I reworked to fit with their header lol. Both the header and downpipe were supposed to fit on the stock catback, neither of which did.

Lastly I got their stainless brake hoses (FC) and they fit alright, but the clips to hold them on don't really fit correctly, and the rear hoses didn't have the locating pin to orient them correctly in the calipers....

Their oil cooler hoses fit pretty well, but again not great lol. Hopefully their products for the newer cars are better...

Matt you could get some black vinyl and wrap & staple the foam underliner for those rear quarter panel speaker cutouts. Finish it out a bit.

Another option is mount the grilles on the 1/4 panels and just let the speaker sit behind.

now that im all moved and almost done setting up the garage ill start working on the car again. Flares are not even near the top of my list but ive already done a bit of test fitting and tweaking to them so they sit right. i want to get all my suspension stuff done and get the engine rebuilt before i worry about flares/wheels and tires.

Oh nice, are you just swapping everything from your first car to this one? I was thinking about getting flares but am unsure of how well they fit the wheel well

Yes i pretty much swapping it all, but im replacing alot of things at the same time so its gunna take forever...... i can take pictures of the flares when i have them taped on the car again. 1badfb on the forum is using the same flares on his black gsl-se so you can find his thread to see some pics.

I have my flares, but won't be doing them for awhile. I'm still in the middle of my t2 swap. But I look forward to seeing yours come together, your first build looks awesome. I love the vmount setup you had.

Muahaha

Looking good, keep up the nitpick work and you'll have her running soon. I know it sucks, I'm in the middle of it now too, but you know its worth it in the end.

Two questions though:
1. What are you doing for exhaust?
2. What are you running for fuel lines?
