85 L6 GS/SE project restoration

put the car away in the storage garage and tossed a cover on it. the GS may be put away until next spring unless i need it sooner. the weather here in OH has turned cold and rainy and i just don't want to risk ruining the car in the rain or snow.
on another note, i'm leaving today until oct 24th for some military training. so, i'll see you guys when i get back!

well, after careful review and one last drive for the calender year 2009, the vibration seems normal as it seems its because of the poly bushings. so, i'm pleased with that finding and am looking forward to march or april to bring the car back out of storage.

Speakers
I replaced my front speakers with pioneers, but I didn't replace the wire I used the original wires, was I supposed to run new ones from the Radio to the new speakers in the front? and the back? I do get static but I know my ground is solid, can those factory amps make it do that?

Your car is really nice!! I keep thinking it's my car...lol the only difference is that my interior is brown and the seats are leather. I want to get the seats re-upolstered I know that leather is hot especially in summer but I like it

i'm in the process of installing the original a/c back into the car. i got everything installed today. i still need to plug in the a/c switch on the dash (must have left it unplugged behind the dash when replacing the wiring harness) and i need one o-ring for the compressor and then i'll charge it and pray it works and lasts.
a/c bracket and pulley cleaned and painted, ready to go:
pulley mounted:
a/c compressor mounted:
condensor and receiver/dryer mounted:
the system all together:

i like the sanden system, it seems like it works better than the ND one.

i really dont have much experience with either. i can tell you that the sanden system is a lot more simple of a system and it blows pretty cold at idle. having the a/c back in the car will not only help my highway cruises on hot days but will convince my wife to ride in the car.. she demands a/c on 90 degree days, lol.

when i installed the engine i removed all of the exterior a/c components. when i put them back in, i replaced all of the o-rings with new o-rings. i also installed a fitting onto the suction port (low side) that would allow me to feed in the R-134 referigerant. i did have to remove the valve core from the original fitting. other than that, nothing special was done. though i should have had it sucked and pressure tested and filled. seems to work ok. may need one more can though.
