As for wiring, it now has running lights, blinkers and hazards. But you get no pictures, because the man in charge of wiring is like the bassist in a band. Necessary, but unloved :'(

Ben's still alive..
GRanny's speed C/S sucks mad rooster... been trying to get a straight answer on what pan we needed to clear the mounts along with if he sold us the high or lows lol. We bought an fbody pan but guess what, it hits LOL. Poor Ben has to buy a holley pan ($$$$$). Anyway to get motivation so he can sell him self on the street to fund the remaining build he started some mock-up sans oilpan.

everyone keeps wondering why progress is so slow... this is what the shop looks like currently, with so many RX-7 projects plus all the other work that comes in it's hard to get them all done

from ben,
Alright thread back from the dead, Finally made some decent progress. Between customer projects in the shop(LSX swap bmw 740i, digi rx7, drift FC, etc.) and waiting on parts it took awhile lol. Ok on to the stupido goodness.
As stated by Ruler_Mark in the last post, I'm less than satisfied with Granny Speeds customer service. Between the inability to supply straight answers(on parts needed), telling me what product i purchased from him(high mount or low mounts), or the fact that he mysteriously wouldn't answer the phone from any of our numbers after talking to him once. The mounts themselves are a nice product but i bought them for quickness of instal not to play a guessing game, if that was the case i would of fired up the TIG and made them my self sooooo....
The motors in the hole and finally mounted
Here's the answers to how to install an LSX in an FB with the granny mounts.
when talking to Grant from granny-speed he informed me that an F-body pan was needed to run his mounts.
WRONG. now i still do not know if he sent me the high mounts i requested or if he sent me the low mounts but with the mounts a recieved the F-body pan will NOT work. The solution was to run Holleys conversion pan(part #302-1), you can prob cut and modify a truck pan but this pan is a drop in solution.
picture of the holley pan, not the best pic but you understand
Another thing is these mounts are suposed to be completey a drop in ordeal which for non GSL-LE's should be true, if you have a GSL-LE drill your mount holes 3/4" back
other progress was made also, had my friend Matt (Denmah on Ls1tech) made me a harness and Microsquirt to run things. Plan was originally to run a stock ECU and tune via HP tuners but the options/ease of install/cost/and pure awsomeness of the microsquirt made it an easy choice.
To give you an idea of the size of the Microsquirt
This little thing gives me full ability to tune fuel/spark/etc. along with being setup with antilag when im on the trans-brake and nitrous control. The harness is pretty much hooked up except for power and the fact im looming in a lil better to my standards(matt started "sloppy mechanics" look em up on youtube lmao).
Also had one of my shop goons, Austin the guy who's done most the body harness, take a crack at building my cluster its all finished/painted/and pretty now but heres an in progress pic. He really did a good job!
Now on to the turbo stuff, turbo drain is on the pan ready to go, and i'll be running the feed from the stock oil pressure sender location(oil pressure sender moved down by the oil filter). Im mounting my T78 on the passenger side, for manifolds you can mount a reversed truck mani on the passenger side. Drivers side not so much, the steering box prevents this. my solution is I'll be fabing up a log manifold that'll clear, not sure if there is any factory manifolds that'll clear.
So all thats really left is fab and some little stuff, plan on cranking this thing out and bringing it to TX2K13 and having fun along with terrorizing the local area lol.

Man, I wish I kept my FB and put a LS in it.
rotary -> 350hp 350ci SBC -> sr20det, then sold.
Now daily driving a LS1 swapped '89 2wd toyota pickup and love it. Getting used to the power to weight ratio again, maybe will need a turbo soon
