82 Build, the beginning
Hey everyone, Finally picked up my car after buying it over a month ago, this car is going to be my DD and occasional track toy while I get my rx8 built up over next couple years with a 4 rotor. The 82 has 168,800km's unmolested except for a cd player. It's in pretty good shape with little rust and solid chassis and its runs........welllll......kinda runs...it starts then dies think its a fuel issue, I got new filters, plugs and wires for it. all electrics work so far except the driver mirror motor is seized and passenger mirror only works down and left. The gas is in Great shape no cracks just a tiny tiny dent with a tiny tear in it. car has not been on the road since 06 I believe. I will be putting in a 13b rew engine and TII trans in it in a couple months so this should be a fun build and be a pretty quick car and the best part is i only paid $200 for it.
things it needs for far: 1) windshield 2) rear tires 3) minor body work and paint

Today on the 7 I changed the plugs, wires, fuel filter, oil and filter, and quickly looked through the car and found what I think is the holy grail of finds in an old car. I found the original owners manual with warranty booklet, dealer booklet, a nice stack of service records and the original bill of sale from 82 in which the original owner is the aunt of the person i bought it from so i;m the 3rd owner. Finding all this makes me want to change my plan with the car and restore it as close to factory as i can, or just continue with my original plan. what doe you guys think? anyway here are some pics of my findings. and tried starting the car today after doing the much needed maintainance but just starts then dies, its getting fuel to carb and if I put gas in carb it will run then die so I think I have to rebuild the carb
