93 Digicamo "The Beater" RX7
Preface,
I bought this RX7 while I build my other one since it had little hope of finishing fast(ALOT more on that one vs this one). So we called it the beater had mismatched panels and all sorts of ghetto and looked ghetto! Now some people would love to own it but it is still the Beater to us.

I'll start this with how I got it, alot of nice lil here and there parts.
rebuilt motor has about 30k miles on it, chassis has about 135k. motor has 3mm reinforced seals from pettit and a mild streetport.
pettit intake system
fluidyne radiator
corksport sway bar endlinks
buddy club d1 spec coilovers
megan racing toe links
megan racing trailing arms
xspower intercooler
99' spec twin turbos installed by pettit
pettit 3" downpipe
pettit hi flo cat
apexi 3" titanium catback exhaust
corbeau seat w/ 5pt camlock harness
99' spec tail lights
Starting stats:
dyno'd 'about' 298hp with 251 tq, mind you this was on stock boost and stock ecu.
He also said it weighed something around 2500 lbs, he didn't remember if he was in it or how much gas was in it.
Car was an ex-drifto machine, came with CAPITAL Sports some of the hardest rubber i've ever driven terrible grip tires but dam they slide easy.
Got her for a good deal. I dared to drive her all the way back from tampa when the previous owner didnt even trust it to drive it to the deal LOL. Got there fine, stalled out in gville the moment I got off the interstate from loose as **** battery connections coupled with a now fried alternator.
Car was DIRTY encrusted cigarette packets into the floorboards, both seats torn to ****, the list goes on and on. Hatch had alot of rust in it, sunroof seal is bad so there is 2 repairable nonstructural rust spots. Car has a **** poor primer on it and no front bumper haha. Came with 60% usable interior pieces, no carpet!
I had no fear in this project.
Here are pics from the seller, added water is a nice touch to make the primer look in better condition than it was in. But who cares!

Update 11/3/10
Repaired alot of the wiring harness, drviers side front fender eat part of that harnes in the past and fried alot of stuff. Everything works now!
Running a motorcycle sound system, very lightweight. Added a FMIC
Lots of weight reduction: lightweight battery, washer-fluid delete, A/C condenser delete, deadend wiring in the enginebay.
Update 12/6/10
EVO-R headlights installed, bolt in cage installed
prepped for the wrappp

Yeap ppf replaced(Thanks mistah Gringo Grande), holy cow it was cracked in maaaany places.
2/8/11
Was waay too feather-ey on the interstate at rx7 speeds..
Adjusted the AFRs, new filters and chargepipers. New wheels/tires. Needed to stop faster so stoptech BBK
F**** Import FAce off. Entered the show as we werent on too good of a tune yet. didnt get a single award, lost best mazda to a STOCK RX8. But we got in the freaking magazine...

Gatornationals.. got to park near the FHP before they were fully setup for the 'money' shot!
Added a V-mount, vac simplified went non-seq twins.
HEARTBREAK in march we started upping the boost... beat a certified 12 car but 4 lengths while giving him the hit.. We estimate somwhere over 350 was attained. 99 turbos went HARD.
SOO we hit the lift HARD.
Dual BIG oil coolers, freshly rebuilt 13b. Aspec 500r. Full fuel system.microtech. omp 2cycl filler, breather..

Does REALLY good work, cage is very well made.
Kevin also had to touch the intercooler piping.. quite short
Then we also need a intake pipe.. Head lights will be in the 99spec holes. PS "headlight cover" will be ported for airflow, filter will be added with a rain cover.
Also added a hood exhuast for the IC
Now for the final tidbits of fabrication. foot wells! Passenger will have a spirit-r styled one and driver will have a deadpedal added.

Heh, thanks. Austin is almost done with the full car harness, shortened better logic alot less weight. Thing is going to be a terror when shes done. I whacked the driveshaft orange for S&G incase i ever flip her over. The haltech painless harness is quite nice, just gotta figure out a few sensors and that will be set.

That car quit being a beater when you put in the V-mount. When the Microtech went in, it became nothing less than a sick FD. Nice work, I was expecting a beater when I opened this thread; I'm stoked to be wrong. I'm gonna go check out my PPF now.
