Have you found stockish flanged bolts and bolts with captures washers like the stuff commonly found on the car? My OCD wants it to be the exact same thing in a different material.

 

+1, at bare minimum I need the 4 nuts for the hood hindges to match the RE hood damper.

I have a small list I started for myself as I measured the thread pitch and lengths but it's described in some cryptic language only I can understand. I'm hesitant to post the list as I may have to clarify what it means for the rest of my life if I do.

What you realize quickly when replacing an old part with a new one is that now all the other old parts stand out and scream to be replaced. The ***** to raise or lower the headlights manually have covers. Here are the new covers next to the old.

I love it. Works great on ashy interior bits also. I had a kick panel that was in good but not new condition and it brought it back to black and it's been weeks since I wiped it down and it's still nice and black.
I plan to wipe down all the interior plastics with this. Especially the textured ones like bins and door cards etc.

The 2 new caps were wiped down with the stuff. What you probably don't realize is of the two new caps, the one of the left was wiped down over a week ago and the one on right was wiped down 5 mins before the photo. Yeah it's good stuff.

FYI,

give or take a dollar or two:
titanium flange bolts cost about $10 each.
titanium flange nuts are also about $10 each.
titanium washers are also about $1 each.
6and this is for the common little m6x1.0 stuff - the bigger stuff gets crazy expensive.

i'm not trying to continue the discussion about how much money zoomzoom is dropping on this car, but the cost to convert every nut and bolt in the engine bay alone would be at least a few hundred dollars simply for dress-up (and some hardly measurable weight savings). the cost to do the entire car would be outrageous, like a couple thousand (guess)
stainless stuff is literally 1/10th the cost. just use that.

 

I feel the same way about it Peter. This will do what you want. Here is a passenger kick panel I got from GoodfellaFD3S and while it was in good shape it was kinda ashy. This is what it looks like on the textured plastics; has exactly that sayin finish we all love.

 

Hand over the part number, and nobody gets hurt.

I've heard about fitment issues on the SBG footrest, did it pop right in for you?
Also heard of some people claiming leaking on the Greddy diff cover. Maybe they didn't seal it well, but some recommend getting it trued by a machine shop. Any plans there?

Want both those things, so interested in your experience with them.
Turbojeff's stuff is always legit. Love his battery tray, and have the PFC mount. But, no PFC to go in it yet lol.

So you want all the secrets? I've been told the Toyota stuff works. Jehan can elaborate. That should be easily sourced but....

A friend of mine gets these to seal up using the Mercedes AMG special RTV. He says it's not available to the public but he does a lot of work for Mercedes and has a source.
I haven't tried to find it myself anywhere but can't imagine it's all that hard to get your hands on. Prob not across the counter at the dealer but maybe online. He just calls it secret sauce. I will have to see if there is a stock number on the tube. Here is the photo he sent me. I'm picking it up from him this week.

 

Toyota FIPG works wonders. Seals everything pretty well. Not sure about the fancy German stuff. Probably repackaged FIPG.
