Back when I did the suspension refresh last year, I knew the dampers were way overdue for a rebuild. So off to Angelo @ANZE they went. Rightly so, when he called after receiving them, he gave some good natures ribbing for how long it had been since they're been in. That aside, he spend about 30 minutes with me asking be about every possible rebuild / re-valving requirements I might have. The epitome of 'premium' professional service.

After a "premium" payment, I got the shocks back in about a week. Perfectly package, it included a full set of dyno sheets, and a baggie with all the replaced seals, O-rings, and all other expendables that were replaced.

The whole experienced reminded me that:

1. Penske shocks, contrary to the internet balderdash, are not 'fragile'. Yes, they require maintenance to continue to operate at cutting-edge performance, but they also can take a surprising amount neglect and still operate well.
2. In all high performance / motorsport purchase that depend on a tuner/designer, start with the professional in your budget and then buy what they sell/support. Angelo Zara sold and services Penske shocks, and Shane Tecklenburg sold, tune, and supports Motec ECU. Pay once, cry once.
