Yeah man not giving up, just did some more reading and looks like my ignition switch has gone bad or could be the security relay or the clutch switch so will tackle that this weekend. Going to try short out the starter to see if it is the ignition.

Try this , it's a starter booster (petit style)

Ok so narrowed it down to the ignition setup wire that gives signal to the starter, going to by pass all the OEM wiring and run a wire from the ignition to the starter directly, this should solve my problem but first I need to short out the starter from under the car to see if it is all ok, will do this tonight and then go buy some 10 gauge wire and short this **** out once and for all!

Updates to follow.....

So went home last night and decided to tackle the problem, tried to short the starter out and no luck, I then went over all my grounds and discovered that there was a ground in the rear that was corroded and not connecting properly, cleaned it up and tried again and still no luck, so pulled on the ground cable running to the battery and noticed that it was loose, so pulled some more and discovered that wth all my testing and playing around I had loosened the bolt tying down the ground cable in the trunk and it had completely come off, this is why I couldn't get proper power to starter and always had faults, I had checked it when my problems started but didn't think to recheck it, so grounded it in a new location in the trunk and bam all working, shorted out the starter and heard my motor swing, this is the first time in over a year hearing my motor swing so was over the moon!!! Its always the silly things that you miss. I now still need to by pass the OEM wiring and hook up a 10 gauge cable from the ignition straight to the starter signal as it still doesn't start with the key and not going to trace through all the OEM wiring to find it, simple is better in my opinion.

Fixed my all my electrical issues, was caused by a bad positive battery cable, tested the side going to the fusible link and found that there was a slight drop in voltage so used a 0 gauge cable and ran it to the fusible link and all problems are now sorted, will be upgrading the negative battery cable to the same 0 gauge cable just to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Startup should happen this week or latest this weekend.

Will post videos if it all goes well.

Didn't manage to start the car this weekend as I ran into yet another wiring issue, joys of owning a 20 year old car.
With my Apexi ECU it comes with a controller that you can do tuning and settings etc on and did a sensor test on friday night and found that my Map sensor wasn't reading anything, so had to rerun new wires from the ECU plugs to the map sensor plug as 2 of the 3 wires were damaged somewhere along the 2 sets of plugs they run through, so just by passed that and ran new wires start to the plug of the map sensor and all working now, that took up most of my time this weekend so didn't manage to start her up, will only be able to start her in the next 2 weeks as I am going away for the Easter period.
Oh well, one thing I have learned is that you need to be patient when building a car from the ground up and don't try rush things.

With all my electrical issues, I now have another one, the Apexi ECU, so installed the ECU to fire up the car 2 weeks ago and car sort of fired up for like a second and then died, I then found out that my leading coils weren't firing so got a leading coil that was working, no luck, still no spark.
I then tested the igniter and wiring and had no issues there, so last thing it could be would be the ECU, plugged in my stock ECU and cranked over and bam leading coils sparking no problem, so my Apexi PFC is faulty, going to have to send to Auz to get sorted and going to take some time due to international shipping etc, yay, project on hold until I get it back as everything else is pretty much done

Hey guys, so from the last update, I installed the stock ECU back in just to get the car started and it did but had an issue with my clutch because I forgot to clip in the release bearing back into the clutch setup, so did that over this weekend, just struggling to get the slave back in but will tackle that this weekend.

I let the car idle for about 15mins just to burn off some of the engine building grease, below is the video of the car running just after I started her up, lots of smoke

Smoke was 100% better after the 15min idle and car has no leaks and oil pressure was looking good.

Going to bleed the clutch and brakes then tackle the slave cylinder this weekend and put her back on the ground and run her for another 15min+, then change oil and coolant again and wait for my Apexi PFC ECU to come back from its repairs then its off to the tuner for base run in tune
Almost there.

I know its a chinese turbo but have researched them and all the V8 guys say they are perfect if you not looking for huge numbers, over 600bhp and my goal is 450bhp-500bhp so won't be an issue.

Going to clean up the exhaust housing and treat it so it doesn't rust further, just need to get a turbo blanket now.

Specs for the turbo

Inlet
Trim 69
A/R .66
Inducer: 68.70/97.80

Exhaust
Trim: 92
A/R 1.05
Inducer: 87.40/77.00

Pics with the turbo tested fitted below.
Just need to spin the exhaust and intake housing so that the oil return and feed are in the right location as well as the intake exit pipe for the boost pipe to fit to the intercooler, will be fabing up a 100mm downpipe as the new exhaust housing is 100mm to fit the rest of the exhaust which is 76mm with a V Band on downpipes and decat, should give me a better spoil rate and as the turbo is twin scroll and my manifold is also made up for twin scroll should see boost building from 3000rpm

100mm Downpipe should be completed this weekend and then reinstall, just waiting for my Apexi to arrive for FC-Hako and then time to tune
