Yeesh...it's definitely amazing to see how much time and effort you're putting into your FD...

It scares me to think about not only how much that Fortune body kit costs, but all of the custom work involved just to make it fit well.

on the whole car i have spend around 2200 hours on it from stripping to building, sanding, custom work, wiring, etc...
just to give an idea i'm lucky that i can do it all myself
but i'm getting closer to end ! i can almost start the engine and interior almost finished. just need to do carbon fiber on the back of my recaro seats

 

rxsam.. if you could do it all again.. do you think you would order an official Fortune auto vielside kit? or would you still go with the replica you bought? Either way.. I think your car is going to be Awesome!!

 

Wow...that's a lot of hours. Definitely shows though. I might not agree with the styling but the attention to detail and labor appears to be top notch.

 

yes i maybe would buy an original one, would be less work but i thought because i change details and work some parts together i could risk it ... but on other side i saved half the price .
it has his pro's and con's but i did not know it would be so bad shaped but most parts got deformed while shipping
because fiberglass parts if you can't instal them whitin a few weeks they can take other shape's
even with original body kits. the replica took around 3 months before delivery.
when i did my WB civic long time ago it was an original body kit and fitment was also like sh*t that is one of the reasons also i risked it for a replica.
fiberglass is something strange ...

ah what the hell ... as long as i'm happy when it's finished it is good for me

btw: what would be best type oil to use with my set up ? because i'm making the engine ready for a test-start
and what do i need to do for the first time starting

 

I use Castrol GTX 20w50 , it was the one Banzai racing recomended that i used.

last piece of the dashbord finished and goes open with a touchless sensor i made myself



she cried for fuel so badly i had to fill her up....

engine ready to start just need the trottle pipe back from the welder

and sprayed some pieces with spray filler for the last faults and see the shapes better
