I just put the new wheel spacers and about to go out for a spin and a photoshoot and all the sudden I hear thunder.. DAMN!

I might be interested in the oil cap, but let me check.

 

Alright.. For father's day, I had to go in to work for couple hours.. And thought I take the FD and test out the new TB and the wheel w/ 15mm front spacers.




RW TB - I did noticed a slight low end bog. But it was pretty slight. But the rev through seem bit faster.. it could be just my imagination though.

Wheels - I just love how they look on my MB. I have slight rub on the passenger side after 15mm spacer.. I'm going to find out where its hitting and try to fix it. But the stance is perfect!

Drivability with these wheels seem pretty good. I was coming back home and this M3 got behind me and started to follow.. I'm running about 10lbs of boost and through the twisty downtown hill side, the car felt great. Maybe bit better on turns... again, it could be my imagination as I been driving my daily TL and haven't driven the FD in about 2 weeks.

Yes!! I admit, I'm a ricer at heart.. But at least I admit and also trying to build a classy FD (My SSM)

Phil, I liked your FD before, but I really really like the new changes man. I have pretty 'conservative' taste but think your FD looks great dude

I was looking at either Porsche LED's or Hella has a uglier set used for DRL. You did a good job though, especially with the FEED HID. It looks tight.

I actually really like the 99 spec wing on your kit. I might try and see how one looks on my ADGT, but I have a feeling it might look out of place. We'll see, yours looks dope, so I gotta try now. haha

 

It will look good if you get the autoexe insert like Phil's or the Odula like mine

Now my dilemma...

What side mirrors to go with..

I just bought a set of APR mirrors.. If I put them on.. it would look kind of like RE-Mamamia's car.. well pretty much identical



or go with Feed Ganador mirrors with FEED CF cover (which I have but lost one of the bottom base..



Or sell all these mirrors and get the Craft Square mirrors...


Decisions...

 

I went with the Ganadors with my FEED kit. Tried the others...They look good, but are pretty useless as a wing mirror to be honest.

 

If you decide to not go with the APR mirrors - let me know, I'd be interested in buying them. Where did you get them?

APR or craft square, I'm not much of a fan of the ganador mirrors.

 

Hmm.. I guess I'll try on the APR since its the easiest one to put on.

I'll post some pics with the APR's on... Maybe today as I'm going to take off from work early.

 

hey Phil, car looks great man! i like the apr mirrors, i went with craftsquares but not the ones that attatch like the photo you posted. i like the l.e.d. lights as well, i wouldn't put them on mine but i think it looks great with that feed kit your running, also w/ MB.

 

Those little ones look tight and fit the light wieght theme, but are manual. Ganador's are elecric but only have fake carbon on the limited edition. I don't know if the FEED cover is real or not. I had a set but had to sell them, so don't get the ones with the blue mirror cause I want to get another set.

Thanks for the kind words. I was going to put the APR mirrors on yesterday but didn't have enough time... and I don't think I could put them on today.. So much crap I have to do at home..

I have the blue tin Ganador's... with FEED CF cover.



By looks of these, they look like the real CF. Just one layer of it.

John, We'll... I let Leo paint the mirrors for the black car and one base had some issues.. He was going to fix it but he ran out of free time.. I thought I picked them up but can't find the base.. So, its either at my house (will take days to find) or its at leo's shop/ office.. Once I decide, I'll let you know.

 

Maybe its just me but some re-amemiya pro fender mirrors would look SICK on your car IMO. I have the re-amemiya super door mirrors on mine and love them, and you can see perfectly out of the passenger mirror.

 

Brian, I do like the mirrors you have.. But I'm at this point looking for Carbon look to match my other carbon junk I have. But if you run across a Mazdaspeed mirrors, let me know. I would like to put that on my SSM.

 

My mirrors and the fender mount pro mirrors both come in CF.

I had the ganador before my new ones and was not that impressed by the ganador's. BTW, both re-amemiya mirrors are electric.

 

You know where to go if you want the CF fender mirrors.

If I recall, they were pretty pricy

 

Nothing is pricey for you Phil...You a baller....LOL...let me know if you want the mirrors as they are for sale as you saw in my for sale thread, yo can save about 500.00 bucks buying mine..., would look perfect for your RE Car...

BTW, you can get the plastic cluster lens new from Mazda still, and it's VERY reasonably priced, I want to say $30 or so. Just snaps on. Nice new chrome rings and everything.

Sucks the MS cluster has the 180kph speedo, though!
