RE-A N1 2002 version with CF undersweep with CF canards

I think there are replica bumpers out there but the CF undertray you would have to get it from RE-A. Canards, you could get it from JKL.... but I bought it from RE-A.

JKL make the newer 2005 version.. Its similar and you don't need the undertray and uses the same side canards.

Turbos looks very nice. I also have a flanged connection to the y-pipe that Garfinkle put together for me, but I like your set-up better. Ceramic coating the cast iron manifold should keep it from cracking for a long time.

Any plans for water or alcohol injection, or just the usual pig rich AFRs?

I have a water injection system... I'm re-doing my MB FD with some new body, interior, and some engine upgrade.. I'm not going to be using this engine until the other one goes (either SSM or MB).

I'm also in the process of getting my 20B together on FD subframe. Waiting on last few parts from Define Autoworks.

Did you sell it as a whole or get bored? im interested in understanding why you sold it. I feel like my 93 is my mistress and my gt35r is my illegitimate son. or something like that. I dont know how you could sell something so well orchestrated :-)

It was sitting in my garage and a local guy was looking for a blk on blk.. I was helping him locate one and just decided to sell it as a shell. Its was hard as this was my 1st FD (out of 7 or so). Also my MB FD is pretty built up and I wanted something bit more stock... and thats where the SSM came by.... 32K original mile and original inside and original paint... both are like new condition.

I recently acquired some rare MS parts for the SSM FD...

Like these:

My goal is to get this car all OEM upgrades... and build up the MB FD.

Nice idea! Staying with the stock body? Or going for an a-spec/gt-c/15th anniversary/r-spec kit? r-spec would be cool as you pretty much never see them.

I'm shooting for B-Spec FD

Except with CF Feed sides and CF RE rear diffuser. I already have the MS lip and spoiler deck... and the CF hood (but non-R-spec hood).

I did think about R-spec.. but I like the 99 front and I already had one.. I'm going to talk to a painter about color matching this friday (Goolsby - one of the top painter in SE).

What is the advantage of running the REW block with the RE manifolds? I have heard the RE produces better top end. Does it also balance out the rotors? I know the REW rear rotor tends to run more lean.

Well, REW makes it easy to install and you just need to port match the LIM side. If you use 13B-RE from Cosmo, there is a slight difference and you can't quite port match the REW rear iron... some might disagree, but that is what I've found out during my 20B build and should be the same with 13B-RE.

But you are correct, not only it balances out but also runners are bigger. I made an adapter that makes all the IC bolt up a simple task.. since I've done this, I think several other have copied or did something similar set up while mine was sitting in my garage..

That is a secret j/k.. I ended up getting it from someone in SE. Its not cheap.. nor do I think its better.. Just rare and OEM.

My Silver FD project isn't anything special... just bolting up some OEM/Mazda parts. But I'll just post pics and the progress here since this is already up.
