Update.

It has been slow working on the Gold Digger , do to the move / a new house and new shop.

But i have made some time and spoiled her a bit ..

I added some bracing to the front end
Nagisa Auto with JUN upper a arm brace
Added a quick release with a short hub

I decided to redo all the fuel line as i have plans to run alcohol and the blue hose i have now will not last more than 1 year on a drunken set up ..
But it will get all quick release clamps with hard SS lines etc.. I will get pretty silly with these nifty purple clamps, so tune in as clamp heaven will be in my engine bay lol...

Wiggins on the fuel lines!!!!!! Love it.

BTW, are you planing to hard line new lines from the tank?

 

Thank you, Yes the lines will b hard SS from tank to front and of course Wiggins clamps

 

What size lines you going to be using (O.D. and I.D.)? and I would suggest using 316L stainless, unless you know of a better option.

Also, Where are you going to purchase the line from? The longest I found in seamless straight lengths was 10', I am unsure if that is long enough to make a solid line (no couplings) from the front to the rear.

 

Inline tube The brake plumbing experts sells straight SS tube. Not sure the limit on there shipping length. I'm fortunate to live 30min away from them and able to get 100 feet straight uncut if i really need it...

1/2 in line SS will be ran under the car...

It would be cool if you anodized all your a/n fittings black or purple to match the Wiggins connectors. All the blue and red parts don't go with the gold paint.

 

Chip, do I even need to say it. I love the attention to detail and functionality of the parts. GREAT! I honestly can't wait though...until we all can finally here that PP engine turn for the first time.

WOW dont think I've seen a build this crazy ever! I now have to arrange with the Chinese government to give me my jaw back as its dropped that far! Great job!

 

I had time over the weekend to machine up some SS couplings for the SS hard line fuel set up. XRP only supplies aluminum couplings. I build the SS couplings to spec..

One other good news today, i have finally sold one of my other toys Custom Chopper to a customer in South Africa. What that means this car will be done finally, to the specs i want. no more trickle part here and there. It will be finished boys and squirrels...

Tune in as thousand and thousand of green Benjamin's will be sunk down the drain to fulfill may waste of money dream...

Question - what leds did you use in your gauge cluster? I've done the same thing but can't seem to get consistent light throughout the cluster.

Chip, woke up thinking about this (kind of sad right): I love the carbon fiber turbo cover but how do you keep it from melting? Won't the turbo turn it into a crispy mess?

Have lost two carbon fiber exhaust guards to flames so this got me thinking about it.

 

I really don't think its going to be that hot as the car will run e85 and 100% alcohol all the time ..

Haha, the "trickle" of money invested already seems like the amazon to me. Needless to say but amazing work. I dont usually post in build threads much, but I lurk and enjoy other peoples projects almost as much as my own. This is by far one of the most impressive Ive seen on this forum. Even if your taste may be different, the attention to detail is outstanding.
