I haven't had time to read your entire thread, but what I have read and seen can be summed up in one sentence... That isn't a car, it is simply a work of art.

They may be better builds out there, but if there are I'm yet to see them. Make sure you get a professional photographer to go over your car from top to bottom - this one is one for the books without question. Like everyone else, I can't wait to hear/see it in action!

I'm going to look back and see what you have done to address the cooling issues of the 20B - my 20BT still runs too warm.

Regardless, you should be extremely proud of what you've put together.

Hey Chip.... I think you know how I feel about your epic build. Bastard.... you've taken it to a level that will break all of our backs if we try to follow

Hey, on your Alloy Racing Cover, did they cover all of the WG dump tubes as well? Any pics of it on just the piping uninstalled? I'm curious, did you just send them your entire setup and it came back covered? How long did it take them to complete the job from start to finish?

Thx again! Your project and the PPE 6 rotor are my current 2 favorites. Thanks for keeping me entertained and feeling totally inadequate

I know it is a small detail bitut I think it would be something you would want right as everything else is done perfect.

I can't wait to hear this thing run.
Agreed and agreed. Meaning it's AMAZING (as I said previously, a "Work of Art") but yes the incredibly minor and 99.99% irrelevant point of the tie wires is that it's not correct - but still looks awesome and will prevent vibration looseness for the most part.

For anyone interested, the (taught) correct way (said as a former air force engineer) is that in order for the one on the right to come undone (turn anti-clockwise) it can only do so by tightening the bolt to its left and so on. When you start the bolt on the right, double thread it and leave the second thread of wire loose - do the same with either the bolt to it's left, or ideally the one to the second left. When all the others are done up, these two loose strangs are locked together so that both bolts cannot move in either rotational direction. It's then impossible for any bolt to loosen without breaking the wire. But at the end of the day, the used method will be almost as good and still shows an incredible attention to detail, and a dedication of funds that is extremely impressive.

This really is one fantastic build, regardless of how it sounds, or the numbers given. I am honestly very impressed and congratulate you on your work!

Awesome!
BTW, maybe I missed something, but what is that "thing" where p/s pump would be on FD. Mechanical fuel pump?

i hope you are changing those burns stainless 2 stage mufflers.. They are unbelievably restrictive.. Would be a shame to use them on this car

Wow!!! I just went through yesterday and read this thread from start to finish. Quite an amazing feat if you ask me!!

Also, since I come from the distant land of Porsches, I rather like the front end

Very inspiring build, all of it is to my liking. Congrats sir.

just out of curiosity, ...did you zip tie the fire sleeve you used to the actual line? or did you build the line with it? I got a bunch of sleeve in last night and it seemed like it was maleable enough to stretch over the line fittings If i wanted to. Only thing is I'd have to take each line off. Not a big deal for most of the lines..but there are a couple...well one in particular that is going to be a pain. Thanks!

The fire sleeve was added before the line was built, zip ties just hold it in place..

Thanks

I stopped over at Chips today to talk about the shop drift car, but I quickly forgot what we were going to talk about when he started up the Gold Digger. I nearly **** myself! I was at a loss for words to describe what I was looking at having seen the evolution of the build.. then it became obvious to me..

"Supercar" is also a label custom car retrofitters reserve for their showcase, one-of-a-kind project vehicles; typically these are very extensively modified collectible sports car updated to the very latest "streetable" racing technology.

Keep up the great work Chip!

Little update.

At this point i'm just working on the small details so i can get this ride on the road soon.

Just finished the undertray had no more mounting points for the Re-a front section so made an extension to tie it in nice tight.

I also finally made the multiple layer SS filter element for the turbo..

Next on the list, alignment and soon after dyno time.. will post once that has taken place..

Thank you for the compliments once again..

Chip U
