Just remembered it's nearly the big day and realised my notifications had stopped working. That sucks! Just caught up again. It cannot be said enough how great your hard work and dedication are. It is the stuff dreams are made of! And when you have the mind set to make that reality that is was sets you aside from everyone else.as for the other plans you have for your non profit organisation, even though I am not an American I salute you! The SLC build, I am sure, will be nothing short of amazing and I truly look forward to that as I too would like to pull something a bit different together once my 20b is complete!

Hope my notifications are sorted now!

So proud of the my up and coming photographer friends. Some amazing work by my buddy Cade Garrett. Here's a few shots from his perspective.

And this is from the big boy camera. Sneak preview of the film. These are stills from the actual film itself.

Filmed by my retired marine friend, Brandon Jones. Look for his latest movie on Netflix soon, Hunting the Legend 2.

thank you so much for your words and thank you for following! Its very nice to see others who feel motivated from this. As I feel the same way when I see builds. Its all about exchanging inspirations. Only a few people view builds this way. A trade of information and exchange of passion that drives future builds up and up! Wishing you the best of luck from over here buddy!

Alright be honest. There was no pipeline explosion was there, you were just spitting flames out the exhaust like mad right?

Congrats on getting such a big project up and running ahead of schedule. Looking forward to seeing the video.

It sounded like you were sometimes clutching in or shifting to neutral rather than coasting down in gear. Was that to listen to the brap brap sound or does the engine feel rough when decelerating in gear? If it feels rough when coasting down in gear, adjusting the decel fuel cut settings really helped that behavior on my car.

Maybe a little '-' in between the FOU-RE

This build is just insane, and the noises this setup makes alone should send the demand for Viagra in your neighborhood dropping tremendously Zach

I may have to make a trip up to experience this in person sometime next year

Thank you!!

And Rich yes, please come up. That would be F*cking cool to hang out and talk rotaries. Been here 10 years, always admired your RED 99 Spec through its changes and now your black 99 spec. 99 spec bumpers. FTW, always and forever. Nothing else will ever touch it!

Facebook Post

We took her up to 10k last night for first time. I feel guilty but o was it worth it hahah. The backfires are so loud that it makes stuff fall off the walls again.

SO STOKED.

Now just need to add an extra heat exchanger sitting here up front and insulate the intake manifold underneith to keep down on heatsoak. Its doin great, brings temps down about 20* above ambient, but the issue is long rides leaving the pump on it starts to heat soak the water. Get the heat out of the water and it should be good to go !

A new facebook friend with a talent spend hours making these pics on his own motivation! I'm completely amazed.

This beats any feeling out there. Even better than the car running lol. To see someone enjoy our design and make this model. His name is Gabriel and this is why we shot the video last night for him

Going to get with him soon to talk about some concept ideas for a 6 rotor / SLC, something crazy for the next build Always keep thinking ahead!

6 rotor slc... stole my idea from my dreams. I probably tack on a couple gtx45's on it though how much are the assembled 6rotor engines?

Small update:

been super busy with work but the car is driving epic. No issues, starts right away. Cruising perfect.

No hesitations or hot start issues with this ECU / Engine. Very nice to know it will fire off any time any where.

We are building a heat shield to shield the injectors/rails from the downpipe and also need to mount a front mount heat exchanger to keep water temps from heat soaking on long drives. And finally just needs an undertray fabricated and its ready for dyno!

Thanks to everyone for following.

From a design stand point you could always run a few very small pin stripes over the 'RE' which would then differentiate it, yet still hold the word together as a whole. Just a random thought to consider if you still have the red paint:

THANKYOU

Have I missed something? Glad all is going well and progressing. Did you postpone the big release video until after dyno now? Looking forward to it very much!

I love how "finished" the car is, but we all know there is still a fair bit of work to be done (like trans and diff) before the car is actually "finished."

What is your end goal for when YOU consider this car "finished?"

High Pitched Four Rotor Sound

Hey guys, this post is by no means critical of this build. I want to know what responsible for the high pitched, quick revving sound of the 26B motors used in the mazda 4 rotor race cars such as the 787B car. These cars rev like high performance sport bikes. I was expecting this type sound/quick rev from the four rotor here. Perhaps it has something to do with tuning or perhaps the 787B uses a superlight flywheel.
Pleases enlighten me guys.

Tuning, lightweight drivetrain, individual throttle bodies, etc. Two totally different engines. Both are 4 rotors, but build very differently.

So I've found,

The engine tone changes considerably upon load. When it 3% throttle it sound like a lobbing low pitch but when it goes into throttle and loads up, like traveling up hill, the sound smooths out and begins to whine as you'd expect. I believe when the wastegates pop open the car is loaded down, it will scream like the 787 over 5k rpms etc. But on free rev the tone is so different.

3 rotor seems to do the same thing. Totally different free rev sound then on throttle.

So i wonder why the N/A cars have the scream at idle / free rev but the turbo cars do not.

I have noticed this on the Curran Brothers 26b's. They sound just like this car, then when he hits boost or is on the trans-brake, it screams like the N/A cars.

But then some of the mad mike 4 rotor's don't sound the same as the 787b even in N/A form.

The firing order is confirmed the same so it must be a combo of things.
