Thats hilarious^ summit is the only one with a specialty an fitting i'm gonna need anyhow.. so hopefully i'll get an AN fitting with my 5 hour energy order from summit...LOL jkjk. Anyways.. kind of like a retrospective tonight.. was beautiful outside..so I got to sit back and just enjoy the wheather for a little. Was looking at the car..and damn it's come a hell of a long way.

Small update:
Got my 60 lb Synapse main springs (Green) installed as well as my 60lb pre-load springs. Now i'll be set at about 16 lbs off my springs and anything higher i'll control with an Apexi AVC-R electronic Boost Controller.

Got my T-4 turbo flange for cheap. The other one belongs to my friend Evan.

Temporarily hooked up my ABS delet kit from Alex Rodriguez... it's replacing my old hard line abs delete kit and it's just a really nice upgrade, you could tell Alex thought it out well. Glad to have it on my car. It's not fully functional yet because I have no master cyl hooked up so I just looped it back around to itself for the time being until I get my Engine bay painted.

I also worked on my Spare Power Steering backet. Once I'm happy with it..i'll take good measurements and have some professional holes drilled to mount it.

Also realized that i'll need to have a custom Oil Filler Neck made to snake around my uim. Not the hugest of problems. Tomorrow morning the car is scheduled to be moved to the Fab shop to get my manifold built. I'll be collaborating with Bj of Bj's Racing manifolds in order to obtain my vision mixed with his knowledge of what will spool quickest and be optimum for my set-up/goals. I'm excited to see a the turbo in there finally after all this time.

little update:
First off NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! SON OF A B**** ANOTHER HAT!!???

got my 5 hour cancer drink that i'll most likely reserve for a special occasion..

and of course my an fittings were under there lol =-)
Car went to the fab shop monday morning "Bj's Racing Manifolds"

A beautiful Gtx3582R turbine compressor

Makings of a down pipe.. re-using old V-bands to save a little cash for the stuff that needs to be purchased new

Turbo Placement:
Now this is extremely important to me.. I'm not one to reinvent the wheel or anything.. but Ive seen time attack teams use long runner turbo manifolds with success.. and with the research i've done.. I decided to do the same thing. The turbo will sit here..leaving room for my v-mount in the next few weeks

and before any of you guys ask... On garrett's site.. it says not to angle a turbo more than 15 degrees in any which way because it will not only leak oil, but it will also cause it to prematurely wear because of the force or G's put on the turbine shaft. It is less present in BB turbo's vs journal but because of this.. we'll place the turbo at exactly 14Degrees =-)

And our initial Mock-up with mild pipe till the stainless comes in next week:

And wastegate placement

I am really excited to see how it turns out and more importantly.. my dyno numbers =-) More updates to come soon!!
stay tuned!

^I'll do my best to get weld progress pics. But truthfully I just wanted to make sure the turbo was placed where I wanted it, and the manifold routed the way I wanted it as well. Also.. I wanted to try to get the wastegates as close to the turbo as possible. But with it sitting so high.. they'd hit the hood. This was the most convienient, directly routed position I could think of for both of them. And If I want I can angle the outlets up to vent them through the hood if I really want to =-) Got more AN fittings in today... thats about it for updates. I'll most likely head to the shop tomorrow morning to start putting together my Full Fuel system.
Well add my fabricator was explaining to me. Less bends in the down pipe will be more beneficial, and so angling the turbo this way will not only get the compressor outlet where I want it but will
^ exactly why were doing a 14° angle . I trust garrett... If they say nothing past a 15° angle... Then and were at 14° I really don't think it'll harm the turbo. Time will tell...
Well got a little work done this morning
First things first. I was really un-satisfied with how the FPR sat. It was just too close to my UIM runner. So I took the cutter wheel to the backet and cut it off, and bj did his magic and made a new bracket that cleared the lim to uim flange and also pulled the FPR away from the uim runner:

Also Wanted to thank "THEORIE" for giving me a template going parallel with my fuel system.
I used his build thread solely for reference:

And believe me... the Push Loc fittings are a pain to get on. But after using simple water and soap on the fittings hook-barbs.. I got a good method at getting them on. ALso, i have no question as to them popping off or having any problems with leaking etc.

I'll get better pics soon

almost complete.. just waiting on my Secondary FFE rail and things should be gravy.

Hey john,
You know I'd really like to go with a 4in similar to yours especially since it tapers back down into a 3 or 3 1/2 in..but We'll see where I am after the manifold is finished. I already have spare materials for the downpipe so I may just waite a couple months and do a full 4in back. We'll see
