I am trying to quiet down my car slightly, primarily when cruising and at idle...... the heat wrap should aid in that, in addition to any thermal benefits. I basically performed a cost/benefit analysis and decided that the wrap was worth a shot. Besides, who can turn down Titanium Lava Rock

Sorry Scrubby, beat ya to it
The last pic demonstrates Reason #1 NOT to let Theorie ride in your FD on a road trip down to Deals Gap..... I'd already fished 4 (yes, four) empty drink bottles from under my Spirit R passenger seat back in April after the event, and I just now found this nasty (and about to explode) half-full Odwalla orange juice bottle sitting under the seat next to the control box for my Techedge Wideband

dude that's funny as hell, but come to think of it I think that Odwalla juice bottle was actually mine LMAO. -Dan
So Rich, does the DEI Titanium wrap lose its color after several heat cycles like the black DEI wrap? I have this on my car and it turned white after just a few runs. Would be great if the Titanium stuff held its color.

yeah it was definitely scrub. i didn't drink any orange juice at dgrr.
So, to answer my own question, DEI says the Titanium wrap keeps its color and won't fade so I ordered some for the car. For those of you that use the regular black warp, you can spray it with the DEI sealer to have it keep its color. Wish I knew this back when I installed the black stuff!

Dr. Hayes, it appears to be the same as new after a few hundred miles of driving. I couldn't answer your question before because not much seat time. With the Ti wrap they recommend not using the sealing spray, just FYI.
Just by wrapping the DP I definitely have cut down on the drone at highway speeds as well as at idle and light throttle openings. I definitely plan to wrap the mid section and catback as well. WOT still seems as loud as ever
I went back to the shortie filter because the other setup was too big and bulky and I didn't like the look in the engine bay. I also wasn't convinced it helped with intake temps after putting some miles on it.
One other thing to note, with the new clutch master and slave cylinders the car is actually much smoother and easier to drive in parking lot/driveway situations. Less bucking and jerking. It makes sense given the parts were original and had a lot of miles on them, and I think that master was on it's way out for awhile now.

Regarding sound, did you have the downpipe wrapped in the regular stuff before or was it ceramic coated? If it wasn't wrapped, is this why you get a reduction now in sound?
Rich I see you got the function Xs did you get the aluminum body ones with the pillow ball mounts? I ask because if so then we have the exact same suspension setup minus the spring rates mine are 13/13. I think I have to thank you because when I talked to Ganesh he said that someone else ordered a seat of zeals for the fd3s and that is why I got mine so quick

John, you're correct, Ganesh told me the same thing
I plan to have them installed on Sunday if I can pry a certain Spirit-R replica FD off our lift

A few pics of the Zeal Function XS installed...... at a recent track day at NJ Motorsports park I had the opportunity to put them through their paces.
Very very impressed, the Zeals were composed and capable, and the level of grip that the Yoko AD08s give is incredible given that they're street tires.
Special thanks to Ganesh/Miata_mx5 over at Endless/Zeal for his tech advice and superior customer service
I was in a run group with a 2005 Copperhead viper running Moton $$$ coilovers and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup rubber in 285 front and 345 rear and I hung with him through all five sessions
