Come to think of it, it was the day after the car started and was operational that the snow and ice came. Must be all the carbon molecules I'm spewing in the air that caused the reaction

Did you get your answer to the MS question? If not, I'll ask George at Gotham for you today.

Umm, you're slipping David. You should have taken pics the day you picked up the car, not 500+ miles after the fact. Thanks a lot... I thought you were our friend

Bite me, I'm never posting any pics I've taken them just haven't had time to download them and post yet. Will do my best tomorrow.

UPDATE: 800 break-in miles on the engine. George says this is enough to tune and dyno so we're going to Redline Performance in Arlington TX tomorrow morning at 9 am. For those of you in the area, it's at 1107 California Ln # 303
Arlington, TX 76015
(817) 459-4900

Will keep you posted.

The initial run will be at 14-15 PSI. Will then probably go up to 21 or so.

The time of the dyno is 10 am, not 9 am, for anyone interested in coming.

Jesus, is it even possible to put that power down?? Like I mean a 300bhp RX7 is hard enough to maintain grip in let alone 600-700bhp!

Once you get past the 500rwhp range, it isnt about putting it to the ground Its bragging rights and its nice to know you have the ability to scare the **** out of yourself at any given time.

Glad to see it all come together David.

Update

Short update for now. Dyno runs cut short because of electrical/injector issues. George took the car back to Gotham and will run diagnostics.

A few videos of the car:

Vids don't do justice to the loudness of the ecutout. You have to be there. It's up to George now to diagnose and fix the electrical/injector problem.

Quickie story overview:

Flew in a week ago on Friday to take the car out on Saturday for its break-in miles. On the car's final inspection Gotham found very small coolant drops coming from the car. Turned out to be coolant coming out of the stud kit bolts and nuts. Diagnosis: the machine shop incorrectly camphered the irons and thus the supplied o-rings were 1/2 the needed thickness. The soultion was to pull the engine out and replace the o-rings with thicker ones. This happend over Sunday and by Monday the engine was back in the car. Took Gotham Tuesday and Wednesday to button up the car for us to drive (my fahter-in-law flew in for the driving). We hit snow on Thursday but were able to make over 800 miles on the engine in 2 days.

As I posted earlier, the car failed on the dyno due to an electrical/injector issue. At around 9 lbs. of boost, the injectors fail. So, we wrapped it up on the dyno and headed back to the shop where it's now up to George to diagnose, fix, tune, and dyno.

It's good to see the car running again and hopefully everything will be wrapped up soon. The sage continues but is close to the end!
