Kilo Racing 3 Rotor FD Conversion
My car has been sitting for about 16 months too, unfortunately it's still very dusty and dirty

The main harness is like 1500 bucks I think. I would definitely check the MSD equipment and voltage regulation system as well even though they're new.
When I was working on military jets, we used to get bad new parts in from the factory occasionally, And that's with the strictest of quality control systems in place. Heck I remember one time we chased our own tails for almost 3 weeks to come to find out that we were supplied three defective replacement YIG oscillator assemblies in a row.
I don't see how it could be your main harness since you are the sole vehicle owner and would likely know if and where the harness had been modified or damaged. Have they given you a more in-depth description of the failure?

Do'h!
Well about 1.5 years ago I was building a show car for a customer and he inquired about a new body harness. Sooo I called my buddy Ray up and asked about it, he laughed at me (I talk with him a lot) and told me I didn't want to know.... hahaha then he told me $2800. I was like HOLY SH%t and he was like, see what I mean.

Thanks man. I feel for me too. So where have you been? You know there's an entire thread devoted to "where's rynberg"?
David a question about the injector problem. Is it a 12v power problem? Is it dropping when the secondary injectors are opening? And they are using the 12v power from the E11 right? If sp the body harness should not affect the 12v to the injectors. I draw the constant 12v from the battery and only have he ignition power to turn the ECU on. U can hardwire the 12v to the injectors to the jacobs unit as well. Since the haltech grounds the injectors to make them open and close.
Is the voltage dropping on the ECU as well? Might be your alternator not giving enough voltage?
Ive never had injector problems, only coil problems :P
But i would say try to hardwire the 12v directly to the injectors. And since u got 6 injectors u would need abit more 12v to them then u would with a 13b. But let's hope Gorge finds out about it soon. But it should be an easy fix.

No update. Missed a phone call last night from Steve Kan about the car. It was supposed to be dynoed yesterday to see if the injector problem was resolved. They found corrosion on the connectors
The Masters was an incredible experience, definitely a once in a lifetime thing. The course is as beautiful as it looks on TV, but it is much more narrow than what you'd think and the elevation changes on the fairways and the greens are much more severe than what you see from the TV angle. I now know why the golfers have such a difficult time on the course - it's a pretty brutal test, especially from the championship tees.
Each day we got to the course right when the gates opened and we took our chairs to the hole we wanted to see. For us, the perfect location was between the 13th green and the 14th tee box in a nice shady spot. The sun was pretty intense the first two days and we figured out quickly the best spots to view the play from the shade. This was the above location as well as the 8th green spectator stands.
Interesting observations - you are able to leave your chair and belongings all day and nobody touches them. Try this at any other tournament. Food and drink is very inexpensive. Beer = $2 Sandwiches = $1.5 It's a bargain once you get in. Kids are golf ball magnets. A little girl in front of us got over 20 golf ***** from the golfers. I asked her father if I could buy one (from any golfer, didn't care) from him for my Army buddy in Afghanistan and he declined. Now that's setting an example for the kid isn't it? Fortunately, a security guy gave me a signed golf ball and the CBS guys gave me a ball they fished out of the creek in front of the 13th green.
All in all , a great time and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to go.
On the car front, there is good news and bad news. The car's electrical issues are now fixed and have been tested on the dyno. The car also made 375 WHP at 7 PSI. On the bad news front, the turbo ingested a piece of silicone hose and is toast:
The piece of silicone coupler:

The end result:

So I'm using this opportunity to try to upgrade the turbo to something larger. The problem I have is I have a T4 flange so this limits what can go on the car without a lot of modification. Gotham has found a hybrid unit that uses the GT42R impeller with a larger intake than what I currently have. I'm still waiting on hearing back from them as to when the unit will come in.

how does a turbo eat a silicone coupler without a massive human error? hope you're not paying for that new turbo...
Oh and glad to hear you had fun at the Masters, I looking for you on TV (even though I have no idea what you look like! haha

I'm sorry David but I think this thread speaks for it's self. There is NO reason for this car to have had the "issues" it has had. Maybe no one else wants to say anything but the fact is your loosing a battle that should have been over years ago. With the kind of money you make and especially the fact that you live in FL, I just can't for the life of me figure out why you didn't bring this FD to a real rotary specialist (carlos lopez CLR). Some "shops" bolt turbos on, some "shops" "tune" cars, some "shops" try to build engines.... And then you have shops that engineer, build, fabricate and create a work of art. Sorry but you wont find those things where you're at now.
I sure hope everything works out for you though because you've been through a lot and deserve things to go your way.... The main reason I say these things is, though I don't know you I hate to see you getting screwed for so long man.

Okay guys, settle down. Gotham and I came to an "arrangement" that I'm comfortable with and the new turbo has been ordered. The turbo did have an air filter on it. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is.
I've now known the Gotham guys long enough to know the work they do is high quality. Yes, they are much slower than I'd like but they now have Alex working in the back to alleviate the backlog situation. Steve is working the front also. I'd put their work up against anyone's. I've seen George's work on the car and it will turn out great.
So, were now waiting on the new turbo to show up (should be within the week) and then we'll be able to finalize the project. I'll post up the specs to the turbo as I was able to get something larger so that should be better also. Maybe Gotham will post up the specs?
As for Carlos Lopez, he is an amazing guy and does top-notch work. This is why I sent him by rotating assembly for balancing.
Finally, I think both CMonaker and myself could compile a very nice what not to do book on a conversion like this. I'm seriously thinking of doing this.
