Kilo Racing 3 Rotor FD Conversion
Hey David,
Not to try to add to your financial drain, and not even sure if you are looking as I have not read through your thread in a while but.......have you seen the Borg Warner EFR turbo's. That has got to be a sweet match for your machine.

^ There are some really nice turbos out there now and the Borgs look like a great match. No more money here so I am staying with what I have for now. In a few weeks I am gong to see if I can sign up some sponsors. At minimum I'd like Precsion so send me one of their billet turbo cartridges. They're pretty sweet.
Spent the last week or so reading this whole thread on and off. Been going through the same sort of build myself over the last few years. Glad to see that things are turning out after so much heartache. Enjoy.
^ Thanks for the post. I need to update this thread and my end of build thread but just haven't had the time.
Driving the car and enjoying it. Took it to Virginia International Raceway where I had a great time learning how to drive. Uncovered a temp issue and a low AFR problem and I am going to tackle these this week.
Car's in great shape though

A quickie update. Been working on picking up some new sponsors for the car and have had some good success. Have secured:
Carbenetic: Triple disc clutch, T56 clutch conversion spline, and carbon 1.5 way LSD
Haltech USA: Platinum Sport 2000 ECU, wiring harness, and ignition box
Sparco: Two Sparco EVO full bucket FIA approved seats
Redline Goods: Full suite of leather and Alcantara interior pieces
Real World Solutions: Rotary Aviation OMP Adapter
So have been busy installing the above and pretty much have it together. The car will go in for tuning in the next few weeks to take advantage of the Haltech PS2000 capabilities over the Microtech ECU.

All in all pretty pleased with the way the car is looking. Have gone for a more aggressive, yet still upscale look. Have a few more goodies to add but getting there. It's a never ending process.
Some pics:
Sparco EVO seats. Yes they fit with Bride LowMax rails, but they do not lower the seat position. You can remove the bottom cushion though so for track driving, I can fit with a helmet on. The EVOs also require some trimming to fit well.

And not from a sponsor, but from the awesome Ruler Mark, the FEED trunk thingy:

interior is looking really good. is the push start button functional? when i was putting in my protege wheel i couldn't help but see the lighter outlet and think it'd make a great push start button location.
do you plan on swapping out the tan carpet to black? i think it'd tie everything together better and look really good.

Would you put black carpet in that car already. Its the first thing I see in every interior pic and is the last thing you probably want people staring at. Everything else looks nice but non-reclining seats wouldnt work for me.

On the black carpet it's on my list. Been searching for some clean OEM carpet but haven't found any so I will probably go aftermarket.

As for the reclining seats. I thought that too until I installed these. They are set to how I like to recline so they work great for me. Much more comfortable than my stock seats. Going to put those up for sale as I recently had them redone in all Italian leather with "Mazda" stitched in black on the headrest. Also added black seatbelt holders. Very nice just can't track with them.
Looks good David, not sure if you seen these but thought I'd help you speed up the process

^ Hah, I think I will keep the carpet just to **** off everyone
Car is doing well. Dyno'd in at 675 WHP at 18 PSI with the Microtech. We have now installed the Haltech and are doing some final tweaking before taking the car back to the dyno. Not so concerned about making bigger numbers, just want to ensure the tune is great.

Thanks, I posted up the dyno sheets in this thread and in the dyno thread a while ago, check them out. We stopped at a little above 7,000 RPMs and the WHP is a straight line up so there is more at 18 PSI. Steve felt he could break 7000 if we took it to 7,500 RPMs.
It's a storage box that replaces the spare tire so it's the depth of the spare. I use it to store tools, gloves, etc.
Will do. I'm going to run over to the shop sometime this week to see what's up. He was replacing the MSD coils with the AEM Smart Coils. Will it ever stop?
And yes, the black carpet is on order.
