22psi quick it in 3rd, then shut it back down to the speed limit!

FYI….New law in Florida over 100mph you go straight to jail.

Thumbs up 20B parts coming in.

Custom 20B oil pan and motor mounts arrived…. Picked this up from a buddy that used it with Magnum T56 and then switched his trans setup.
This allows you to use the stock subframe and also pushes the 20B back about 3 1/2”.
For me it really checks off the 2 major issues I wanted to tackle when going 20B.

First is bump steer from aftermarket subframes that lower the rack. Since it keeps the stock subframe I won’t have to worry about it.
Second is trying to get the weight back as much as possible, hopefully it’ll help with the extra weight of the 3rotor….... We’ll see!
More to come!

Curious if your 20b will have the DCT setup...or have you ditched that option for good?

Thanks for the interest! The 20B will have a 6spd T56 Magnum.
I moved on from the 8hp and DCT setups because I misses the engagement of shifting gears while driving around.
BUT I'll say the full throttle shifts from those transmissions is sooo fun too.... it's really all about what your preference is.

Went to another Cars and Coffee yesterday with my buddy, again we were the only two ROTARDS!
Was a great time, the FD's got a lot of love from the crowd!

Thumbs up DGRR 2025 insta360 Vid

I'm working on the insta360 editing skills, it has so much it can do.
I've got lots of footage of the rally, just gotta put it together somewhat decent to share.

Here's a quick DGRR 2025 video.
Hoping to make better videos for next year's DGRR

that's such a great solution. Wish I had thought of that before changing my subframe AND making a custom pan! Are you planning on relocating the oil filter? I think that and the slave cylinder were my biggest issues when moving the engine back. Speaking of, are you using the FD bellhousing with the T56?

Thx, the oil pan was my buddy's idea he came up with for his 20B/T56 FD. He only sold it because he couldn't use it anymore with the bigger DCT.
The FD tunnel is too small when pushing back the 20B/DCT combo... and he didn't want to cut up his tunnel.
Yes, oil filter will get relocated... not sure where I'll put it yet.
I'll be going with the Grannis T56 kit and the slave cylinder is a Tilton a which is the throw out bearing/slave cylinder inside the bell housing.

Bell housing is Grannis cast aluminum.

He's had this T56 kit out for a while now and has had great results!!

Smile Loving the spool!

Just sharing my build and some real-world garage guy data.... I was doing some street tuning in Mexico for higher boost levels.
This is a 3rd gear pull ....went full throttle @ 3200rpms hit 29psi by 4200rpms... fast spool.....love it!!
My target is 28psi but it overshot to 30psi then faded of down to about 23psi by redline.
Bummer I'm wanting the hold 28psi till redline... BC DC % is at 100%

I have a 3" boost activated cut-out before my mid-pipe so exhaust restriction shouldn't be an issue.
Guessing the EFR 8374iwg is not able to hold that boost till redline? I have a large street port.
I'll be rechecking the IWG canister.... its a TS with 16psi spring.... maybe upgrade the spring to 18psi.

Steve

Thumbs up Daytona HSR Classic 24hrs

Went to HSR Classic 24hrs at Daytona Speedway last weekend with some rotary buddies.
Classic Mazda in Orlando had a sign-up for lunch and parade lap on the track.
Sucks cause we only got one paraded lap, prior years they did 3 laps.
oh well it was still super cool to drive on the Speedway!!!!

Here’s a video I made and some pics.

Enjoy and comment away if you’d like.

Thumbs up Love the new wing

Wingless is nice but I like my new Feed Afflux wing!
A little more aggressive than stock!
Really happy with the decision!
Also threw the carbon fiber sides back on to finish off the look.

I wish I'd done the FEED over the '99 wing. I had an Aerofiber CF replica I got for $300 and resold BITD. Now that wouldn't pay the shipping on an Ebay replica.

Yeah! Such a downer..... prices are UP on everything!
The "99 wing is also SWEET but was I was looking for something a little less common.
This one checks the boxes for me with aggressiveness/style

Also my painter did a great job matching color, I took him my R1 wing.
Really happy with the results!

Only negative is I have the holes from the old R1 wing, so I just used some silver vinyl stickers to cover them up for now.

Yeah, if I'd known I'd ultimately be swapping with a GT wing for the track, I'd have gone with the FEED because it has that smaller footprint and wouldn't leave extra holes and marks that look shitty when the big wing is installed.
