So I pulled out my ABS unit today. There a lot more room in there now. I'll most likely end up putting the meth reservoir there. I also painted the cross beam that goes under the inter cooler since mine was looking a bit janky. Oh and I wrapped my down pipe too. Successful day.
Tomorrow I get to weld a -10 fitting to the stock oil return fitting so I can finish my drain line.

I was running into some clearance issues with my downpipe so I looked into buying a different manifold. While I was looking for xsessive manifolds I cam across a picture of a JDM manifold like this one and realized it had no EGR port. Two hours later I was hacking up my manifold and it worked out pretty well.
Here's what the jdm manifold looks like.
Here's my manifold before the modification.
Here's my manifold during the modification.
And after.
It's still a bit dirty and has some carbon buildup I need to clean off but the downpipe should definitely clear it now.

yea man, great way to save some money with that lim. i have an extra lim from my car if you want it. its jdm tyte so its exactly as pictured. it has couple block off plates too. if you want it just pay shipping and its yours. our lim only has 3 of those pipes running through it instead of 4.
where are you planning on getting the r-maginc headlights. i would trade anything for a set but 1000+$ for some headlights just isnt gonna happen...

So I was doing some thinking today and I decided to set a weight goal for my car to compensate for my lack of power steering. I did a bit of reading and it looks like a bone stock touring model with the 5 speed weighed in at 2,862 . I figured I'd shoot for 2450 lbs which would put the car at 2620 with me in the seat.
Here's a list of the parts that have been removed or replaced and a few things that are on their way out.
Removed:
Air pump
trunk mat
bose trunk parts
rear wiper and motor
abs unit with sensors
power steering
spare tire
jack
emissions w/ rats nest
radio
battery tray
heater lines
Replaced:
stock twins(manifold, downpipe, turbos, lines etc.)
downpipe
cat back
Throttle body
intercooler (call it a wash)
stock air box with piping (minimal gain)
Stock shocks/springs (minimal gain if any)
stock wheels (probably gained weight with the works)
steering wheel was replaced by a 99 wheel without airbag
Soon to be replaced/removed:
omp
stock cat
rear cubby bins and partition to trunk(maybe)
heater core
With all of this done I'm hoping to be around 2500 lbs. If I am, Then next step is to remove and replace the oem sound deadening and insulation with a dynamat equivalent and get a carbon fiber hood.
I'd like to hear some of your opinions on this because there's not as many cars with my exact setup that I can base my goals on.

No roll cage but I do have a sunroof. I'm currently looking for a way to do away with the sunroof though. I'm half tempted to find an r1 and make a mold of the top to do a fiberglass "cap" for my car.

I had a piece of 1/4" aluminum laying around so I decided to make myself a coil relocation bracket. I think I'm going to mount it to the frame on the drivers side where the Garfinkle unit goes. Hopefully I wont have to make custom wires.
I'll post pics of all three coils on the bracket when I get home.

Thanks. I'm probable going to put it on the frame under the steering column. If it looks like its going to get wet there I'll probably move it to the area above the clutch master. I'm just avoiding making custom plug wires.

you dont have to make custom plug wires... if you use fc plug wires, theyre like 8ft long each. i have a set that i'm saving for when i decide where i wanna relocate my coil packs. its a cheap and easy solution....
if your worried about them getting wet where ever you put them, im sure you could make a little splash shield for them. just have all the coil packs facing up.
if i put mine anywhere, its probably going to be in the cabin where the engine harness comes through. i dont have anything behind my dash at all so its just a bunch of space. all of the ac system has been removed. heater and all....
