Thanks. I'm really happy with this wheel setup. Both the rpf1's and the aegis' would have needed 15mm spacers up front but with this setup everything is square.
As for the paint...the original color is montego blue but the car was repainted black with some metal flake. The door jambs are black but it wasn't prepped properly and the paint is flaking. Montego is my favorite fd color but now that I'm doing more reading I see a lot of MB cars and I'm thinking about changing the color. The purist in me makes me want to stay montego blue but the little red guy on my shoulder is saying "hey, you already got rid of the oem bumper so why not kick it up a notch". If I do decide to change the color I will either go with the green that the late 90's Lexus GS came in or marina mica from the Miata and stay Mazda. Both of those are deep forest green with moderate gold flake.

since youre going to be using the twins for a little bit, if you redo the rats nets i highly reccomend you do the simplified sequential. i made the mistake of doing my rats nest the stock way. the simplified seq just makes so much more sense.
im full non seq now and the only thing under my intake manifold is the wire harness.

I need to look into that. I'm not driving the car right now so I don't mind going full non sequential. I just need it to run enough to go in and out of my garage until I get my ecu down pipe and a few other things.

You're right. I'll be ordering primer in two weeks. Going to go with awlgrip high build primer. Still on the fence with the paint. I want the car to be unique and oem looking at the same time.

Yeah. I think Green/MB/black/white look great on bronze wheels. As for the interior, it's black and tan for now but depending on where I'm at financially when the single conversion and paint are done I might swap to black.
I picked up the pettit intercooler shroud Goodfellas was selling and I picked up a cheap smic so I can get rid of the stock setup. It's not much of an upgrade but it should d for now until I get something larger.
Pics.
Duct needs some work but when it's all said and done I want it to look something like this.

Thanks Erik.
I got a wild hair up my *** this weekend and decided it was time to remove the stock twins. It wasn't as difficult as I expected but I didn't make it easy on myself. I ended up pulling them in my cramped garage while it was raining outside. While I was taking everything apart I found a plate on the engine that says "remanufactured product". If someone can explain this to me I'd really appreciate it. I hope it means Mazda rebuilt my engine at some point but I'm expecting to hear that its just my front housing and water pump assembly since that's where the plate is.
Once I got everything removed (stock twins, dp, rats nest etc.) I put my manifold and turbo in just to have an idea of the turbo placement. Turns out the manifold puts the turbo right where I wanted it. Down side is that it's really close to the hood so I have to be a little bit more careful with the piping.
Anyhow. Enough bs. Time for pictures.
If you look carefully you can see the power steering pulley that I destroyed. My brass hammer isn't as forgiving to composite materials as it is to metal. WHO MAKES COMPOSITE PULLEYS!!!

Here's a little side project I've been working on. I found this greddy elbow on craigslist for $40 but it had dual injector bungs welded in. Since I had no use for those I decided to weld one flat and tap a 1/8" npt hole for a possible meth injector then I welded an. Hks bov flange on the other.

Not much of an update but I ordered all of my couplers and what not for the intercooler. Should have it all plumbed in by next weekend.
I also test fit the regulator and bov. Regulator needs some minor tweaking since its a little crooked and the bov is somewhat close to the brake master cylinder but since it doesn't touch I'm going to have to live with it.
