93 LS(?) swap RHD FD

So I built my single turbo FD drove it for a couple weeks had an oil leak from my oil drain line which caused oil to fly all over the place.

This happened on the way to a car show H20i, which caused me to leave the car at a gas station and get mad at it. While at H20i i saw an LS swapped RX and decided i was doing this.

Sold the Rotary and bought a local wrecked LS1 out of an 02 Firebird. The motor was an awesome deal so i thought, although at closer inspection it was really only the block that was any good.

So over the past couple months i have replaced almost everything in the motor. So welcome to my new build thread hope you enjoy the custom work myself and one of my closest friends have done.

Custom parts

-Motor
-Transmission
-Rear end

Okay so tonight i got some time to get to work on my ITB setup.... i got some flanges made in steel so i could fab some stuff up and see what i liked best but i also got a set in aluminum so i can make the final set with the tig.

Steel

and my good set

so my first idea was to build small runners and then plate it on top and attach the throttle bodies like that... but im not really liking it so far but ill finish it and see how i like it at the end. here are some mock up photos

Now i started to weld them in place and had some major issues with my welder... First the massive wire wheel i had was to big and causing terrible welds but then would work amazing so i switched that out for a 2 pound roll. this fixed it until my breaker kept blowing out half way through my welds so i got mad and stopped.

but you get the idea

now as you can see they will be angled at each other but i plan on having them interlocking and velocity stacks out to each side but we will see what idea i end up going with for a final project.

anyway thanks for reading if you have any ideas please share. im not an expert or even very good but enjoy building so im open to listen.

Well i hated my first ITB setup so i scrapped it and decided to try something new

picked up a new blade which worked good for 3 cuts and then sucked just like the rest of them

old vs new

Then i started on my second setup which will be more of a box type deal

Hey guys a little update I finally got the car back on the ground again and it moves! Only problem is I forgot to bolt my tie rods in... Which makes steering not possible haha anyway here is a quick little link to a video of some tuning and the car running. I am able to check a lot off my list for finishing the swap but then add so many more things to it. But at least I'm on the home stretch.
