New Product: Banzai Racing Transmission Crossmember (93+ RX-7)

We feel that if Mazda could have forseen the levels of performance that people would be achieving with the FD, that they would have included a Transmission Crossmember in their original design.

We have developed the Banzai Racing Transmission Crossmember for both street and track use to support of the PPF and transmission. Installation drastically reduces shifter movement, allowing for more precise and predictable shifting. It helps to prevent cracking of the PPF by reducing transmission tailshaft movement and prolongs motor mount life. Our Crossmember achieves this without the vibration associated with a solid mounted brace.

The upper and lower Crossmember's sections are laser cut from 1/4" steel plate, the Tunnel Brace is then press brake formed and both are E-Coated black to prevent corrosion. The Tunnel Brace is a one piece design so there are no welds to crack or fail. We have also included mounting hole locations for the aluminum undertray.

We have utilized Energy Suspensions patented interlocking mount which very effectively controls torque and is made with Energy's special formula HYPER-FLEX™ performance polyurethane material to assure long-lasting performance.

We have the Crossmembers in stock and available on our website for $225.00, so no group buy necessary http://www.banzai-racing.com/store/FD_Trans_CM.html

Love it. Planned on buying a trans brace shortly but I am glad I procrastinated. Only problem is that I have to rethread one of the bolt holes on the body as the threads decided to literally shear off the car in one odd chunck rather than simply strip out.

The trans brace solid mounts the trans to the car.

Just ordered one off your website! Nice work. Looking forward to testing this out. It's refreshing to know people are still engineering parts for the 20 year old FD!

I have 3 or 4 Banzai Products on my car and without a doubt completely top notch products and people. If I had to decide who has better Customer Service, Banzai or Ray, I'd probably go crazy! Certainly a gold standard for our cars!

Great seller. Super fast shipping. I just installed it. Great fitment only issue I had was my PPF was out of alignment so I had to adjust to get the bracket holes to line up. Car feels more solid when driving.

Installed last week. I no longer have that pesky 2nd to 3rd gear shifting problem. Also way less shifter movement while driving. Overall a great product.

Just ordered one. This combined with the 2 in 1 diff cradle should keep everything rock solid.

I just installed mine. There's less rocking of the gear lever and no noticeable added vibrations. A must have.
