Yes we did mess his car up it was an accident and we admit to it. And we are going to pay. Stay on the subject, roller is talking about the fact of us being a shop/ business and im just trying to figure what he is trying to say or get at? Since this incident we have stopped all projects for all forum members because we just don't want to be framed for bad practice, or taking advantage of people which is a little to late but that's okay. I understand everyone's hard feelings and harsh words, I'am okay with all the bad feed back, this is actually a learing lesson for me and my brother.
Jamespond24
Can you please find some where in this thread about me saying that we wouldn't pay?

you also need to understand that in my experience, illegitimate business and ripping people off go hand in hand. For one thing, the consumer has no protection, no recourse against an illegitimate business when things go wrong. And too many people are getting ripped off in here over the last year. WAY too many.
Is there seriously any reason why two months later you are no closer to having him paid back?
By the way, as for the last question you asked james, let's get real here. You and I both know you have stated on this forum on more than one occasion that you were refusing to get money or parts back to the customer. Remember that underbody tray?? A piece of friggin plastic, and you instantly refused to get it back to the customer until enough people in here leaned on you with their complaints. And in this case, you have gone on at length about how you were "just trying to help your brother with his debt" even though this was a 12:31 problem, not your brother's problem. Come on, man--you are operating an uninsured truck and trailer to haul the cars around!?!? How can anything good come from that?
I still dont' think that the work that we have been doing for other people here on the forum is Illegal.
1--did you do work in California, on people's cars, in exchange for money?
YES
2--at the time you performed this work, did you hold a current business license that authorized you to perform work in that capacity?
NO
That means it was illegal, champ. Plain and simple. The licenses, permits, and tax filings must be done before you open for business. You have been open this whole time, but without any of the required licenses. For example, look at this link:
http://www.slocounty.ca.gov/tax/faqs...esslicense.htm
This is a county in CA....this is what they have to say about their issue licenses:
What happens if I operate without a County Business License?
EACH DAYa business is operated without a County Business License, or is operated in violation of the provisions of the County Ordinance, shall constitute a separate offense. EACH OFFENSE is punishable by up to six (6) months in County Jail or a fine of up to $500.

I thank you for that, i steped up last time and i will step again im just going to do my thing come this friday.
and start the process of paying him back on his word for the parts i do not have receipts for.
and that is for the
super charger bracket
super charger fitting
interior cleaning.
After that the only thing left to pay is the powder coating, and the body damage that we will both try to hustle for and get the money some way some how.
and thank you for clearing that up, i really appriciate that

We all have a part in crap like this because everyone who has spent money on their 7's deserves to have a safe transaction from a real business, when the person claims they are a real business.
And you dont see a problem with that, simply because he worked on your car before? Here's a clue--a legit business would have resolved these issues months ago with these customers. There is no excuse at all for the way they treat their paying customers, so stop trying to give them one by being more worried about me than the problem.

as a shop owner and race team owner for the last 10years YES i agree this situation should have been resolved months ago
you say that i dont have a clue or see a problem with this because he worked on my car , here is a clue for you i own and race a pro car in the speed world challenge , i am also a r&d mechanic for mazda of norh america's motorsports program better known as MAZDASPEED , i have enough fabricators to do anything that i need on my car. the reason i let teddy work on my car was for exposure so he can get his name out there and get credability , something that they have failed at miserebly you see i was the one who introduce him to rotaries when he was about 16 years old and i worked out of my garage in san diego , i had a great guy trust me and let me work on his car and that opened the doors for me into the pro ranks and thats why i am where i am today , so please dont say that i dont care about what they have done because that is far from the truth , i hope everything gets resolved , i know teddy is gonna do whats right

i just called my room mate and apparently i left my phone at my place in riverside last night , wasnt expecting a call from you so sorry about that. Im not trying to make any money off of you teddy (as u have accused me of). I do need to have everything paid for except for the body work at this time. Meaning i will not accept the full 300, the difference will be somewhere between $50 to $10.
i WILL NOT accept $10- $50 (depending on the price of the powder coatign and sc parts) as a payment for the body work. I appreciate the efforrt but id like to SEPERATE the damage doen to my car from everything else. accepting any money at this point might jeapordize the legal actions im goin to take, ive give you plenty of chances and time to pay. i will not accept $10-$50 on an invoice of $600+
my room mate will be calling me back to give me ur number and ill call u in a few mins.

PM replied, as i said ill call chris in a few mins, but bottom line i wont take the full $300. I will only accept moneys to pay for sc fitting/bracket, interior cleaning and powdercoating. Unless you are willing to pay a significant amount on the body work then i will not accept a payment of a few bucks on something over 600

yeah i know im just trying to make payment. The $300 to my understanding is for the interior cleaning, and super charge parts. and then when you find the price for the powder coating i will send payment for that as well

yup got you. $300 is what your going to get for the super charge parts and the interior cleaning that my brother wants to leave with you in person tomorrow, and when you find the price for the powder coating i will send that out as well.
But since my brother will be meeting up with you anyway in person you can just hand the receipts to him in person instead of mailing them out.

just an update:
-i will be meeting chris today at around 2pm and accepting $300 to pay for the powdercoating, supercharger fitting/bracket and interior cleaning. ive informed teddy that i will not know until later today of the actual amount for these but that they will be under $300 and was told to keep the difference for my troubles and that the difference in no way is a payment for the body work
i will have 2 of the 3 receipts when chris arrives, still working on the last one (email confirmation) as i said the company is in the process of goin out of business and then there back in business...back and forth nonsense AND they upgraded the brackets on the kit itself so its even harder to get a price for. SHOULD have it for chris today but its been horrible trying to get that done.
my lawyer will be out of town until 01/10/08, if i dont receive any payment by then, well then its out of my hands.

I just got done reading through this thread. In Teddy's defense he admits that he f'd up and is willing to pay back the money and is in the thread the whole time not trying to run away or hide. It's obvious that he was strapped for money and needed some time to pay back the customer. A blind man could see this! It also is very tough to make a living in the auto business and it looks like he is just trying to get things started and some experience so give the guy a fricken break. Not all of use have 100,000 dollars to start a business. Hopefully he learned from his mistakes and will move on.

We already made one payment, this weekend another payment, and in another two weeks the last and final payment.
Even through all this, and getting dragged throught he mud i have no hard feelings with anyone, or the comments that were made towards me. I always try my damn best to meet and exceed and situation or problem to the best of my ability. It's just sometime's i get in over my head and things start to fall apart and i say things or do things i don't mean.
Marcelo is a really good person, even with this bad guy thread im still not made with him, I understand his point of view and know his situation and how money is hard money is right now. Neither one of us have much of it, but still the way i handled the situation should have never taken this long.

Hey marcelo change of plans were going on friday to drop off the money not saturday. Thought it would be better to get the money there a day in advance for yah. Please let your mother know we will be heading in that direction if you anticipate that you will not be there to get the money yourself in your hands and she will.
Also a contract will be made saying that x amount of money will be dropped off toward payment of the car damage and that in another two weeks the final and last payment will be made and all money owed to you will have been paid in full and no outstanding debts are owed after that.
