Banzai Racing, again

well. Since all I do is get flammed by Chris on here, its my job to notify users of my bad experience with them. I have already filed a claim with the BBB, resulting in a negative reputation for banzai-racing.

ill break it down easy.

within the first 1k miles I had fuel DUMPING under my hood, lucky the car didnt explode- Chris blamed it on my cracked PPF

at 3k miles I noticed my intercooler was a knock off. and i tried to resolve it, nothing. (paid $800 for a greddy, have a 200 ebay)

now at 4k my throw-out bearing is bad. not to mention the engine ticks like crazy.($4000 rebuild, $800 ACT clutch kit)

ironically my car was erased off their website after i brought these things up.

all of which are supposed to be brand new parts. I cant get any sort of work done by them, and they refuse to take responsibility for anything, mods. if you care about the users on rx7 club you will leave this thread up. I have done everything within my power to get these problems fixed and every single time i get flammed and blown off.

I dont know what I could have said when i arrived at banzai the first time to make them dislike me enough to do all these things.

This punk already tried this scam in another thread, which was deleted. He has only started this thread because it was pointed out that he is a liar and a scammer in a negative thread about him https://www.rx7club.com/bad-fugly-members-185/what-do-about-ratjar-867270/ .

Literally everything he has to say is a lie. Car left out shop running perfectly 6 months ago, no leaks of any kind. If it were leaking fuel he would not have made it back to MI from IN.
The FMIC we installed is a Greddy (which has already been proven to the mods in his other thread), then he gets into an accident.
I doubt the throw out bearing is any issue more likely trans damage as the result of driving around with a BROKEN power plant frame for thousands of miles in his SALVAGE title car.
Engine ticking, probably just the injectors clicking. Not like rotaries have valves.
Who knows we have not seen this car and don't plan to.

The guy has been PERMANENTLY banned from our shop.

The BBB already sent us an apology letter, since their automated system doesn't take into account that there are sleezeball scammers out there like yourself. They realized that when the complainer turns down a full refund for the return of the product that they must be the party that is wrong.

Heard about your FD windows getting smashed out, ain't karma a BITCH. LOL

Chris, are you starting to realize yet that it is YOU who are the sleezeball scammer? Ill call BBB and talk to them. My windows getting smashed out had nothing to do with karma. Keep talking liek that and well see how many people show up at your shop. explain the fuel leak, explain the bad throwout bearing. explain the intercooler because I have yet to see any proof thats its genuine. greddy confirmed that its a knock-off. you fucked me chris.

we need to clarify Which model Greddy FMIC we're discussing here... are we talking about the M spec or LS spec intercoolers, which CAN be found @ retail prices for $500 range or are we talking about the R or V spec intercoolers which as stated by previous posters are much more than $800 retail (more in the $1200=1400 range retail probably 1000ish wholesale).

this is the kind of support banzai gives its customers

"Honestly the only reason I have not given our attorney the go-ahead is you don't have anything worth taking. You would just end up owing us.

You have no money, you own a salvage title FD, that is completely ragged on inside and out. The only thing you have of value is the house that you scammed your poor sick Grandmother out of. I am sure that place is a dump by now.

That's right folks, he kicked his own sick Grandmother out of her house because of an oversight in his Grandfather's will. If he is willing to do that , he is capable of scamming anyone. He talks about it in this thread. https://www.rx7club.com/lounge-192/question-regarding-my-grandfathers-will-803321/

Ratjar, nummys, is also Boostscoop"

This whole thing with the inter cooler everyone is forgetting is that RATJAR was in a front end collision that danged the front end and side quarter panels. Some how missing the FMIC? I don't think so.
After Contacting Greddy first, he post a thread on this forum second, then when offered a refund by banzai he refused and demands a pay off third. Banzai was never give a chance to see if the FMIC was even the same one he installed. RATJAR claims that he didn't want to leave his car inoperable and that his BOV was welled on. The car shouldn't be driven any way, it was not safe to tune it also was unsafe to drive. Any problems caused by your drive train moving around freely is all on you. BOV are not welded on they can be removed. I heard that you installed a PFC from someone else car because you erased the base map banzai did. You've been looking for people to work on your car on this forum. Has anyone work on the car? If so could you have messed up your own engine? You never gave banzai the chance to fix any problems, maybe because they where not caused by him and the more you drive the car in the state its in the more things are going to go wrong.

Because RATJAR went about the hole thing wrong from day one and burned a bridge with the ONLY shop worth taking a rotary to, he thinks that BSing everyone is going to fix everything. It not. Any lawyer would jump on any case that would make money, you are not taking this to court because no lawyer will take the case.
FD owners and FD shops come and go, but Banzai Racing has been around for years and will be around long after.

P.S. Jason your shop don't have the greatest reputation, and you on this thread just looks bad. If you want to attack me know that fine, I'm just stating what most think.

I said front end collision, he COLLIDED with a raccoon in the front of his car. I never said it was a car. Would you like to see what a raccoon did to my verts front end? I can send pics. He had stated that the damage caused be the raccoon, wreaked the front bumper pushing it in to the side quarters. That hard of a fit would toast the FMIC.

No it wouldnt. It just depends on where he hit it. If it hit on the side of the oil cooler then it could crack the bumper there without damaging the intercooler. I hit a dear with the side of my front bumper and it didnt touch the intercooler, but caused enough damage that I had to remove the front bumper and quarter panel.

This is going nowhere fast, so my point is it could have. Reasonable dought, why would he not let banzai see it after the fact. Just doesn't sound right.
Go ahead, I know you need to get the last word.

ALL the proof for these accusations was in the other thread. I will be glad to repost it. If you honestly think a racoon could destroy an intercooler your stupid, i just sold the bumper I hit the coon with for $400. MY BOV is welded on joe, not all are but mine is. I didnt show chris because hes 5 hours away, and the fact I Knew it was a fake completely ruined my trust in him and I had nothing but hopes that driving all the way there would get anything resolved. The FMIC was after the massive fuel leak. The fenders arent even fucked up. 1 was minorly tweaked. the reason they looked messed up at woodward is because 2 of the studs were in the other bumper.

I can say that Chris did do a lot on my car, he detailed the engine bay free of charge as well as kept me updated the entire process, But weighing the negatives and positives I do not feel I in any way got what I paid for or deserve all the problems I now have.

The fact of the matter is I gain nothing by this thread and it is only a means of review for other people deciding on what shop to go to.

My attorney Could make money off taking banzai to court but regardless of any proof court go go wither way, and I would have to drive (as well as my attorney) 4-5 hours 1 way 2 or 3 different times.

Banzai and or any other shops for that matter don't have set guidelines on what they can charge for their labor/parts or some great advise.

If the Business owner/operator feels that he is just in what ever he feels is proper then let him.

The consumer needs to study and read some more and be educated in his decision making process.

RATJAR--- Man i hope you get this thing straightened out man. sounds like a big *** cluster **** you got yourself into.
You cant say that, while in some regard its true.

you cant overcharge a woman becuase you know she has no idea what parts cost, thats wrong and im pretty sure its illegal. Just becuase you think you can get away with gouging doesnt mean you can. im not accusing chris of overcharging me at all, atleast on the parts I paid for. as far as orders go the FMIC is my main concern. I dont know what happened between chris and the supposed vendor, but I do know that I ordered a Greddy from chris, and found my intercooler is a knock off, as soon as I said that my emails were rejected. it doesnt take long to realize someone has no intentions of fixing a problem.

I think the fact I am a consumer simply posting a review should add a lot to my credit. I am seeking NOTHING out of this. I just think its fair the users here be able to hear my story, unlike the last thread which got deleted.

I am trying to see where Greddy is stamped on the IC core unit( i see none). Also the blue couplers seem to be Greddy's color of production choice yet does it have Greddy stamped on it???

That intercooler is a fake, but you really cant prove anything unless you have the email he sent you with that picture in it.

Let's keep this between Banzai and Ratjar. What price a shop gets a part for and what they decide to charge for it is completely up to the shop. We are not here to discuss that.

I don't want to see anymore of this shop vs. shop business. It is unprofessional and does not belong in this thread.

Thanks.

It would be bad if we actually did what Ratjar and Jason are claiming. However the pictures supplied by Ratjar dated 8/20/09 were taken several months after his collision with the raccoon which destroyed his front end and fenders. Accident happed in early June. We had not seen the car for a few months at that point. We only learned about his accusations from his posts on the forum in Aug, he has never once contacted us directly regarding any issues with the IC or anything else. Even though he claims to have noticed it when swapping his front end out in June. He had two opportunities to bring it to my attention in person and never did. Ratjar swapped the FMIC after the accident and wanted to extort money from us by slandering our name on various Forums. This is a direct result of me refusing to street tune his unsafe car. Bald tires, broken PPF, front nose attached by two screws etc etc.

Ratjar already attempted this thread in Aug, it was deleted as he was found to be wrong.

anyways-

here is a picture of the Bumper just before I dropped it off, sold for $400. clearly in great shape. this is what it looked like AFTER the collision with the raccoon.

the email banzai sent me is part of an update, linking me to their website, particularly my car build.

Nobody finds it suspicious that my entire project is deleted off of banzais website? covering up much?

If you want to question whether or not that intercooler is the one chris took a picture of, and emailed me. right click on the picture and click properties, and notice the same camera took the picture as ALL the pictures on Banzai-racings website, additionaly. If it wasnt the FMIC he took a picture of and sent me he would have said a long time ago "we didnt take that picture" If ANYONE feels I can supply more data, or proof. just ask. I have everything I think I would need.

i used the word "collision" because those are the words Joe, and Chris have been using, The story behind the "accident" is that I was pulling off the road to turn onto my street doing less then 35mph and a raccoon ran out in front of me. the raccoon walked away and i drove home fine, its just a cover up on banzais end to try and discredit my proof. the bottomline is I was lead to believe I was getting a greddy FMIC for $840 and caught banzai in their own lie, at which time I lost all trust, after the fuel leak. my project was taken off their site within a day, WHY would they do that? that makes no sense.

Ill tell you why, because they are hiding the pictures of the fake FMIC being recieved, and the fake FMIC being installed.

You dont find it odd at all?? what on earth more can i possibly do to prove to you people?

I dont see how removing your car from their website can be so vital to you and how they can hide their scamming. If you feel you have been F***ed over, Why dont you go back and claim whats yours? This is what i dont understand.

Maybe they installed a unit that was supposed to go to another customer. Mistakes do happen but im not saying this was a mistake but it is a possibility and a reason for the customer to go back and straighten things out. Are you afraid to go back for any reason? If you think Banzai racing will hit you with a hammer or a wrench, or even the authentic FMIC that was supposed to be on your car but apparently its on their 20b you can always go to police and ask for police escort for your protection.
