so my water kit stopped working?
after a couple of runs i began to notice that no more water was being used up.
ive narrowed it down to two possible causes. the pump is not working, and or the controller no longer functions.
what would be the best way to go about testing the pump and the controller?
the pump is a cooling mist pump and the controller is a labonte (snow performance ) controller. i also have the cooling mist controller, but i don't like to have huge *** buttons and ***** all over everything.

ok so in desperation i hook up the coolingmist controller, and the sucker doesnt even read boost or vac.
im at witts end. also, the dials in the software screen are oh so sketchy. they dont sit still in the data logger and fly all over the place. how can a brand new unit do this? i flipped the little toggle switch on the side, and got no responce. i messed with all the settings.
im about sick and tired of this.

someone from cooling mist commented in a thread in the same section and he said that i can LOCK the dials in so that even if i do bump them, it wont mess with the settings.
i dont know about everyone else, but i dont see a LOCK SETTINGS button. the dials turn, and it looks like a damn ekg machine on the graph all uppity and downitty.
the software i really dont understand as well neither.
i guess imma have to go with the controller less and pump less setup now as well and see how that goes.
o well i guess i should just grow up and stop ranting. i mean, everything was working BEAUTIFULLY!! sigh. time to pull out my multimeter and see if the labonte controller is dead.

im not abandoning all hope yet.
tomarrow imma test the system once more. if the pump itself is good ( surflo should make good units. right?) then imma see if the controller itself works. if i hook it up and i get a 12V out from the controller for the pump, then im going to hook it back up, and see if i can get it to work. maybe in the act of taking it all apart and putting it back togeather, it will be fixed?????
maybe. well see.

well it turns out the controller is dead. pump works, i get ignition power and when i jumper the connector the pump fires right up and sprayed water delightfully all over my face.
i then checked the voltage between the ground wire and the ign wire, and woudlnt you know, 12v.
i called labonte and they simply said to return it. i hope i get one back for free. its practically brand spanking new.
