yep! but we did not focus much on the 95 octane tune which gave 379rwhp at 15psi (should be around 420-430rwhp with that setup).

then we tuned it for e85, at same psi 479rwhp, only change was colder plugs.

Even so, that's ridiculous.

Yo Gustav! Tomorrow we hopefully will be a little wiser what hp increase E85 can do for our little rotaries! Keep in mind that it's only a "little" Greddy T-78 and not a 700 hp turbo. But i think the torque will boost some comparing to V-Power. But i am a little bit worried about that you only have a HKS twin amplifier though you have to ignite a lot of alcohol. Come to think is there anybody that have measured Brake mean effective pressure on a boosted 13B? Chrispeed maybe?

Been running an FD on E85 for 5 months now, first on the original ecu,now on an Apexi power FC.It began to run very lean,so I removed the fuel filter and cut it open,it was caked with a grey/pink sludge.
So I looked in the tank, which has become like new, apart from the same grey/pink sludge on the sides and bottom.
Fitted a new fuel filter, and now going strong again.
Did 13.0 sec 1/4 mile at 110mph,with a broken engine mount! All stock apart from ecu, catout pipe, and rear box.

if you're running stock tank and convert to E85, you need to replace or clean your filter a few times since that E85 will basically clean and flush your stock tank.

That is exactly what it has done. The baffle plates in the tank have come loose, and are doing nothing to baffle the tank.I suspect they were glued in,but not anymore!

Approx how much worse is the gas milage with E85. I dont want to get 100miles for tank when i have to drive 20 just to fill up E85.

If we need 30% more fuel with E85, im guessing our gas mileage will go down 30%..... So avg. we get at least 12mpg with a 30-35% decrease it will be ~7.5-8mpg. Which will be about 150miles per tank at most.

For those who dont have stations close by and drive their cars often on streets this may be a prob. Or else Im really interested in tuning my Fd with E85 and BNRS around 15psi and see wat happens.

My nearest station is 20 minutes away. This isn't a problem, though. I wouldn't bother unless you're running more power than 93 octane will handle.

how are you measuring your knock?

e85 is oxyginated fuel right? n/a can benefit from it. n/a will also benefit from colling properties.

in any case n/a and lil nos, e85 will give a nice ping protection.

Will there be problems with water condensation i ur tank?????????

We were shocked. My grandma (whom I was visiting in Englewood) was bundled up at 75*. Crazy southerners and crazy old people. It was -30 with the wind before I left my apartment for the holidays.

Anyway, congrats on the numbers, looking forward to what you can do with E85.

These are questions your tuner should know. If he doesn't, he has no business tuning your car. Safe a/f ratio depends on what type fuel, what kind of timing, porting, etc...There are too many variables to just throw out a "safe" a/f ratio. And I don't care what type of fuel, you better not tune your car to a 12.5, lol....

Cris, would you mind sharing your injector duty cycle? You are running 6x1600cc right? I calculated 60% at 8500 rpm. Is that close?
