Does this mean if we get enough firm orders for the FD plug and play we can get it a lot sooner than 6-02?

Is the race version the same price, except you have to wire it??

You will have to talk to sales about pricing.

No, unless you want to control the automatic, instead of the factory trans ecu.

Why not wait? Because AEM has no history of providing something like this. Because some people have race's to go to, and would rather be driving instead of hearing, of a Jan, Feb, March, late May release date. How do we know if it will be half of what its cracked up to be??? I've got some cheap land I'll sell you in Fla. I too think that over time this may be a great ECU, but its from the same people that bring you all those great intakes for Honda's and before has offered nothing for RX-7 what so ever.

You are wrong the FD auto trans has its own ecu that is totally seperate from the engine ecu.

My Understanding is (Jason correct me if I am wrong) The PnP AEM ecu will maintain all the stock Auto functions including the Hold but not Reprogram the actual shift paterns, but the race version may be able to controll the trans directly.

I just received this from AEM, I'm going to wait for this product.

"Ken,

As promised, I just came out of an EMS meeting. The release of the RX-7 box
has been moved slightly to 6-15-02. This looks very firm, as progress has
been good with the box.

I will keep you informed as to any changes.

Kirk Miller"
