Adaptronic Knotsonice tuning issues

I understand it sucks that gear you paid your earned money on stops working/never worked completely right, but when do you guys think people will start punting on Adaptronic gear rather than slamming their dicks in a door over and over again trying to get unsupported stuff to work/be fixed? It's almost like de-adaptronic harnesses and support would have a market in and of itself :P.

Well i figured out what happened. Since the car has been parked i went to work on the stereo for a bit this last weekend. Low and behold the vapor barriers where not in place on the doors. I was wondering why so much moisture was getting into the car. I opened up the ecu also. ya it doesn't look that great either.....but new thick plastic is in place. Should be a lot better now.

Ehh, Adaptronics are known to be finnicky to begin with and even without a moisture barrier in the doors there shouldn't be an issue inside the casement of a semi sealed (don't know if its IP rated at all) casement seeing as there are all the other rubber sealing surfaces surrounding the doors as well. I think there's an argument that these issues may (or may not, I dont live in WA) not have posed a problem with a more robust/tried and true piece of hardware is completely valid.

The old Adaptronics aren't even close to being sealed. 4 screws and you have the board out. no seals nothing. the only modular ones that are water proof are the m2000/6000 (Water Proof IP67) from what i read IP67 Protected from total dust ingress.Protected from immersion between 15 centimeters and 1 meter in depth.

I'm well over 50 ECU's just in the last 12 months and have had 0 hardware failures.
If you are going to go on about the select platform, that platform is long and dead and is over 10 years old now if not older.
The only known issue the modular had was the map sensor issue and that was resolved early on.
Stop spreading bullshit.

It will read -29 essentially no voltage with the key on and the ECU having 12v power - This was due to some cold solder joints connecting the map sensor to the map sensor board. This issue has been resolved now for over 10 months but yes some ECUs were affected by this not all of them. So depending on when the ecu was purchased it could have the problem but generally it shows up right away. Yes there has been some cases that it did fail later than right away.
