Just got back from Atco. I went out first round of eliminations to the top guy in the class (he's got the record so far) with a 10.11 to his lifting 10.01. I qualified 5th with a 10.06 and backed it up with a 10.08, so the car is steadily coming along. Can't wait to actually be competitive

status report on my RX-7: I'm lazy and dumb and still haven't made a new wiring harness, but I told my gf this morning not to feed me until I do, so it'll probably get done tonight. and then all that's left is to set the timing then tune, yays!

i like how comcast lost track of my upgraded internet when i got the triple play deal. 16/1mbit for 35 bucks a month. Nothing sweeter than downloading stuff at 1.98megaBYTES a second.

The cylenders and head for my motorcycle are still in the machine shop -- they're not used to dealing with motorcycle cylenders, apparently :/

I just had to get the head and cylenders decked and honed. As soon as they get back the rest of the "block" is all ready to pop back on.

You can do it yourself with some old piano wire and two pieces of wood.

I was bored at work so I came up with the idea for a banner for us to use for our meets. Just have us sign our names in the dead space at the bottom or fill it with something else.

 

i almost got run over riding my motorcycle on my way home today by a REALLY bad female driver who claimed the guy she cut off and repeatedly brakechecked was tailgating her. also smashed my turnsignal into the side of her car as i swerved to avoid her. popped the rubber bushung holding it and cracked back side of it.

she drove off after taking OUR license plates info. officially it counts as a hit and run on her part so if she wants to report it, i'll be glad to nail her on it.

 

All in all, you're lucky it wasn't a lot worse. I love riding but being close enough to cars with stupid people behind the wheel doesn't always seem worth the risk.
