Smile Youngest FD owner in the Forum

I think I'm the youngest FD owner in this forum, I'm 16 years old, I think most of you guys are well past your 20s? just an observation.. I had a question though, does anyone know where i could find a diagram of the wiring set-up of my FD ? there are a bunch of wires and things in the front left of the engine bay (if facing the car from the front), and they look like they're in pretty bad shape, I don't know exactly what they are for and I would like to know what could be done to replace them or fix the problems they might be causing me. I have no idea what the hell they are though. Also, theres a bottle underneath them, what is that ?

i would have killed my self if i had that car when i was sixteen. i'm almost 18 now and i just got mine. Parents made me buy it myself. I'm glad i had a year and a half of driving experience first.

That extra time could have been put toward grammar and spelling lessons.

[sarcasm/]

yeah but he said 'alot of car for someone who is 16..."

i know i'm being a smart aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssss but why do you have to show disrespect. obviously you are more capable of driving the car than he is with all that driving experience you've aquired 'sense' 15...

...that must mean that i drive an F1 car everyday, i mean seeing as how you've been driving for just 2 years and I've been driving for a little over 6 years...and just imagine the older people on the forum... they don't even drive, they have grown wings and they just fly everywhere, they just pretend to have RX-7's and the like.

[sarcasm/]

grow up man. he wasn't even talking about you.

i'm looking for an FD now, and i'm 21. When i was 16, i had an MR2 Turbo, which i still have now, and i later got an MR2 supercharged when i was 19.

For the most part, a turbo car is a bit much for a 16 year old, but in reality, i think if someone is a realy bad driver, they'll total their mom's volvo for all i care. A bad driver/irresonsible person will total any car, not just a fast one.

For your original quesions. I'm curious as to why you have so many wires exposed? i know that isn't factory. Try to do a search of wiring harnesses, and if you have the repair manual, it will have a discription labeling what each wire does and what color it is.

And just to save you the hassle, next time you want to ask a question, don't have the title say "I'm the youngest person to own an FD" that will yeild no responses for your specific question, but just redirect attention.

now i feel old.

Danny

he was too busy attending street taces and gaining all that useful experience behind the wheel though, so he's excused from spelling and punctuation and everything.

I don't understand why everyone is coming down on this guy so much. He did a pretty stupid thing with that title but he had a question that pertained to his car. Not a dumb*** ricer question but a good one if he's tryin' to keep his Rex running.

I'll pm the shop manual to you.

A couple of things, in the future you might want to refrain from mentioning your age while posting on the forum. It seems some people have an issue with that and English it would seem.

[TANGENT]
It still amazes me that the majority of people on this forum, who are born in the US have some of the most atrocious English I have ever read. It is one thing to use NetLingo while speaking, but to be completely incapable of spelling the most basic of words is just appalling.
[END TANGENT]

In regards to your query of the wiring diagram, I would suggest that you pick up the FD Workshop Manual. Within these pages are the goodness of the FD internals. You should be able to clearly figure out what the components under the hood are, and how they are wired up.

From there, you can figure out what it is you are playing with what might need replacing..

newly revised version for all of you english teachers out there)

Right on yayer I am 17 as well.I started driving when I was 15.I have never been in a car accident. Never in my life have I been pulled over for speeding.Mind you I am not a saint on the road. I attend street races and race at the sanctioned racing tracks. I suppose this proves that age doesn't really matter. But then again my two-first cars where way over 200 HP (SHO/Audi S4) to begin with.still I say to all of you.f.u.c.k you.

So do I get an A?

Hmmm, you've driving for 2 years without getting a ticket or into an accident... What do you want, a cookie?

You aren't suppose to get tickets or into accidents, so why are you proud of something you are "suppose" to do?

You've gone from an F to a D minus. Check your punctuation, capitalization and spacing. Also check your use of the word where.

I'm ripping on your spelling because your post was cocky. The spelling was just an added bonus.

This is the guy we're ripping on. The original post is legitimate.

Around here people seem to think that if you are young with an FD you will trash the thing in under a week. Im just trying to put to rest a common misconception.

And you wonder why we think this way. Look at your driving habits! You posted it in your first reply! That cocky *** attitude doesn't help your case either.

Point taken and understood, it is just our nit-picking that if you post something in understandable English, you are bound to be understood sooner/better and your point truely gets across..

My driving habits are no concern of yours thank you very much. This hole forum is built on adding speed to your car going faster on the streets primarily. Futile in the end. But an understandable addiction. Please think before you post
