I don't have a problem w/ young fd owners but I do have a problem with cocky people and from my experiences, there seems to be a strong correlation between young and cocky. Just because you own a fd and not a Honda or whatever, that doesn't make you special or give you anything to be cocky about... Also, it's not only driving ability, etc. that necessarily cause people to trash their cars, it's also attitudes. Ever seen those guys weaving in and out of traffic thinking they're cool and then see them eventually rear end another car? Well regardless of driving ability, the more chances you take, the more likely you will get burned and young, cocky sports car owner seem to be the ones that take the most chances...

Your driving habits ARE of my concern! You just posted that young drivers get a bad wrap for the way they drive, and then you post habits stating that you're a wreckless driver!

There are plenty of people on this forum happy with the stock performance of their 7. This is a place to share and obtain information and participate in a community.

Please think before I post? How about your posts?

hey person, it's Jimmy, not Jim. about 3 people call me Jim, and you aren't one of them. I took back my post because i'm not going to bicker with you about some bullshit that doesn't even matter. I just found it hard to believe that YOUR first two cars were a Taurus Sho and an Audi S4 (i can believe the Sho but the S4 is kinda pushing it too far there sport)...

...oh wait...
...DING DING DING ...
...oh, the Taurus and Audi were your parents cars, that clears up a lot of confusion, confused person.
and you make more money than both of them? what the **** do you do, i would really like to know so that I wouldn't have to spend 60+ hours a week, on average, just to have money to spend on myself and to save up.

...wait a minute...i think i know who you are...
...you must be the guy who dropped a 3-rotor into his FD in just one week or whatever, all by yourself...

man, you are just amazing.

but i'm seriously done arguing now.
Have a nice day

I had a question though, does anyone know where i could find a diagram of the wiring set-up of my FD ? there are a bunch of wires and things in the front left of the engine bay (if facing the car from the front), and they look like they're in pretty bad shape, I don't know exactly what they are for and I would like to know what could be done to replace them or fix the problems they might be causing me. I have no idea what the hell they are though. Also, theres a bottle underneath them, what is that ?

Shoot. When I was sixteen I was drving(riding) a 10-speed!!

I don't understand the reason for that post big red. I race not at lights but at racing tracks. When I do street race its late in the night and on a strip of some sort. I do not do 100 mph all the time. I do not cut in and out of traffic. You are assuming that i do all of these things. The quote from another thread....Why?is it not true?Havent you ever met someone that thought that Hondas where the only cars that have VTEC.If you havent, well i have. How does that show that i am ignorant and young? Im not on this forum to get into character debates so this will be my last post concerning you.

Please enlighten me ConfusedPerson. Please tell me what other auto manufacturers use (Honda's trademarked acronym) VTEC?

You answered your own question about being ignorant and young.

Virus protection huh? God I hope your code is easier to read than your posts.

Acuras have VTEC but they're also made by Honda... What other cars have VTEC? You are probably confusing the "brand" (Honda VTEC) with the product (variable valve timing). There are other "brands" of variable valve timing and manufacturers use their own versions but they don't call it VTEC. Toyota calls it VVTi, Mitsubishi calls it MIVEC, etc. etc. but VTEC is Honda only... Honda OWNS VTEC.

Still, not VTEC like you posted. If you meant "VTEC-like" (which I doubt you did) you should have posted that. Anyway. You're cocky. Cocky like a stereotyped 17 year old with an FD. Posts like yours are why these stereotypes exist.

TOO many threads going around about young FD owners. You guys say you are mature and can handle the FD? Then don't post us any horror stories like "I was racing against my buddies accord going 120mph in a 35mph zone" or "I ran away from a cop and lost him. I'm a good driver" or "can I run my FD to 200,000 miles with a blown apex seal"

All I have to say is good luck, and we hope you will continue to be physically able to post with us.

Or another thing. Ghetto music is not allowed in an FD

I'm mixed in between in this little arguement because I myself am a teen that is lookin forward to gettin an FD in the near future (6 months), but would have to see the older forum members points. It is a known fact that teenagers do speed, I myself speed, but than again who can honestly sit there and say that they actually do 35 on a two lane isolated street where you know cops wont be around?.. its just a matter of how much you speed and how much of a dick you are behind the wheel. As for the stereotyping, its understandable (just leave the stereotype to the bad driving not the cocky attitudes cause i myself hate people like that and hope i dont become cocky myself IF i get an FD)but its not true that all teens with nice sports cars (FDs in this case) drive like dicks, MOST do but not ALL, I know a guy with an SS that screws over Z06s at the track but he doesnt race on the street he only races at the track, than again i know people who have totalled 3 cars and arent out of high school. As for the whole ghetto music thing, where the hell did that come from?... thats just uncalled for, young people listen to what they like and elder people listen to what they like.... there's no need for disrespect....

1. ZETEC (notZTEC) is just a name for the engine however the SVT does have Variable cam timing like the Z32
2. The 300ZX did not have anything like VTEC it just had some sort of cam timing advance and only on the intake cam I believe
3.VTEC is unique only to Hondas, you name me one other manufacturer that uses 2 profiles in one cam, you can't b/c it's patented by Honda.

Because Ghetto music is TOO slow to belong in an FD. That **** almost makes me fall asleep because it is so damn slow. I have NO clue how people can listen to it. I TRIED listening to it a few times, and the beats were just TOO damn slow. I had to put on some fast Techno Bass to quickly recover
