Y-Pipe: Charge Control Actuator

I need a working Charge Control Actuator that is located inside the Y-Pipe.

Mine is currently jamming up.

Anyone have one?

How did you determine that it was jamming up? Any symptoms?

I would like to check mine as well. Thanks!

I have been experiencing unusual symptoms that I think directed towards this bad actuator for awhile but I never looked into it. Main reason why it's out of the car now is because i'm replacing it with the efini y-pipe.

As far as symptoms, anytime I take my car into high load, high rpm, i.e. WOT and resume normal acceleration, the car would lag feeling as if it i was in non-seq mode at low rpm. But after a second or two it would go back to normal. My car is stock sequential turbos.

But now seeing the sticking valve it makes sense. From my understanding the charge control actuator prevents secondary boost from building because the door is shut allowing only boost from primary turbo. Since my door is sticking it slowly opens, which explains the strange power curve at high rpm on my DYNO. And once the system is in twin-turbo mode, the valve sticks open, which results in what feels like non-seq at low rpm.

I don't know if I made that sound clear at all.

Mine feels kinda the same sometime. Usually in hot weather. I'll check mine out...but when testing I did the KOKO test and it pulled in and stayed in. But I don't know if it always works.

FD3Boost, I hope you don't ind, but I pm'd you with a question relating to this thread. I suppose I just could have asked here though. I'm looking for part numbers for the 2 Actuators on the turbo (Charge Control & turbo control) as well as the one referenced above. I'm having some boost issues & am planning on replacing all of them.
