EBAY. Just type in FD3S, rx7, RX-7 etc... They're selling them by the pound on there. Can't miss em.

The 2.50" they list is inside diameter... I had asked for this same info whether most companies use I.D. or O.D.

Aftermarket SMIC's don't bolt in. They are held in place by the piping. You will need to take all the crap off the crossbar, it's all there for the stock airboc and IC anyway.

There is tons of info on this intercooler. Just search. There was someone on this forum making ducts. I bought one. Seems to work just fine. I have also read that you can buy a duct from Pettit that they sell with their intercooler kit. I am guessing that it is around $100. YOU NEED A DUCT!

I have this intercooler in my car with the non Pettit duct I mentioned above.

It will work with a Greddy elbow. You will just need to have a pipe bent to fit. I have a straight pipe running from the intercooler to the Greddy elbow. Mine has not been perfected yet though. I think I need a longer coupler because I keep popping the coupler off.

Getting the stock duct out is a bit of a challenge if you want to keep the A/C, but it will come out without cutting. You just need to slightly bend the A/C piping and wrestle with the duct to get it out.

Also, if you have the Greddy pipe kit, you can rotate the S pipe that connects to the crossover pipe and it will work instead of using the pipe (with the BOV flange) that comes with the kit. If you go this route, you can keep your air pump and stock BOV.

I have seen pics of people using the pipe with the BOV flange though. It does work with a strut tower bar and air pump.

As for an intake, I used the Blitz intake pipes (I bought on eBay) with a pair of K&N fliters. Works great! If you search, you can get the part numbers for these. The intercooler will not work with a stock airbox.

You will also need a small filter for the intake hose on the air pump if you use the K&N filter method.

As far as bolting the intercooler down, there aren't any tabs to do so. The intercooler pipes should keep it in place. Mine tends to shift under boost, so I plan on doing something to fix this.

Let me know if you have any more questions about this intercooler. Overall I am very happy with it.

If you question how well it works, take the car out for a ride. Afterwards, put your hands on the intake side of the intercooler. Then touch the output side of the intercooler. The intake side will be very hot to touch. The intake side is very cool. I know this is very unscientific, but it shows you how well the unit works.

I know I will get a bunch of **** for this, but why spend a grand on the other intercoolers when this one works as well as it does. How much R&D do you really need for an intercooler? It's a fricken raditaor for air for goodness sakes! Really, I always wondered why intercoolers were so expensive for so many years!

So I was in the market for a pulley kit and I guess this guy had been trying to get rid of this intercooler and noone was really fealin it. He had it posted for 150 ended up dropping the price to 125 then to 100 then just by chance the same day I put in a search for a greddy pulley kit he mentioned in his add that he would give the pulley kit brand new for free if some one just bought the intercooler well new the pulley kit is 85 or so bucks so i figured whatever 15 bucks for an intercooler cant be that bad. Long story short i went to pick up the pulley kit didnt even look in the boxxes when I got home I was very surprised to see the quality of the pieces not to mention all the couplers included and all t-bolt clamps. So I ended up picking up a pulley kit, complete intercooler kit and a 3inch mid pipe he threw in for 100. Still waiting on the body shop so i can get everything I have bought put in should be interesting.

Just wanted to toss my name out there, I am the one that is building the XS Power intercooler ducts.

The work really well with these kits.

The ducts are welded with 18g alum and then painted black, unless you dont want it painted.

They are 125 + 20 flat shipping

Here are a few questions i get asked alot.

Will this work with the piping that comes with the Kit. YES
Is there any cutting on the frame or other.. NO
Will this work with KOYO and Fluidyne Rads...YES I run KOYO
Will this work with the stock fog lights.. YES/NO There is a small mod to make the foglights fit agian
Does the XS Power Intercooler fit with aftermarket air intakes..NO But i am working on a new True Cold Air Box for these

Here are the True Cold Air Intake that i am building, Just about 1 week before i start selling these. All you will need is the Air Filters and the Piping.

These are proably going to be 50 Dollars plus Shipping for the frist 10 or so then they are going to be 65

Yep they are cheap and really good also

Thats cool on the duct, there have been a few people try and make custom fiberglass ones and then try and resale them. So far i am one of the only people that is making and still selling the metal ducts. Also i am starting to get a really good following with my custom work.

Any chance we can get a duct made for use with a GReddy elbow and turbojeff battery tray? The combination of those mods allows you to move the XS Power I/C way over to the driver's side and then you can run any aftermarket intake setup you'd like.

My car is the one pictured in the top pic (red). You can see what I was talking about with the Greddy S pipe turned sideways and the straight pipe coming off of the Greddy elbow.

You may also notice in the picutre that I am in the process of sanding and polishing the duct to make it look prettier.

Do you have any pics of the intake duct installed? The IC Duct looks really good and I'll probably get one from you when I get my SMIC.

Thanks for the good work.

I installed a similar style intercooler in my FD. Mine however is bigger than the XSpower unit. It measures in at 18x12x3.5 which is similar to the M2/ASP Large, or Pettit Coolcharge 3. My duct solution was to purchase a duct from Pettit for a Coolcharge 3. My total cost came to just under $350 for Intercooler and Duct, and then $100 for a pipe kit on Ebay. <$500 and works beautifully, and doesn't look too shabby either. Here's some pics and an Ebay link if anyone is interested.

The car has been sitting for just over 2 months, so its dirtier than normal.

Well, if the intercooler was $175.00 + $47.00 shipping, that leaves just under $128.00 remaining from the just under $350.00 he stated.
