You can just replace them with stock ones pretty cheaply. They work fine.

Just hope they don't break once in. I'm surprised Bill didn't do it before just for the added bling factor.

new stock ones are something like 34 *each* from mazda iirc. they arent that easy to make up yourself either. i think the ss mop lines are a smart investment.....when the stockers crack, you will have an oil leak from hell that is a bitch to get at. I recommend spending the 100 bucks (which in FD terms is enough to buy a cup of coffee) for peace of mind.

heres a better solution if u want to be able to see that the oil is actually flwing through the lines and save $80 with an easy project

If I didn't have SS lines already I would be doing that.

Captain... Captain... Captain... tsk tsk tsk. Haha, friend offered me some SS OMP lines, I slaped him and threw down my plastic ones... I'm such a cheapass. Stock ones work fine for me, just be careful when you work near or on them.

That's wat I paid for mine $35.00 for one package that had both line in it. If they charged you that for one you got ripped by the dealer.

I like that DIY alternative but I bought SS lines for safety sake when my motor went... I'm all for anything that increases reliability and longevity.

i did the ss option so long ago. . . and no rich. . . its not hard at all!!!! anyways, i dont remember the length. . . just get a good amount of line and cut it to length. maybe about 2.5-3 feet. the clamps are oettiker clamps from mcmaster carr. just measure the diameter of your lines and order a package of clamps that compresses in that area. ITS NOT HARD AT ALL!!!

If the engine is coming out, I would recommend the SS lines. I wouldn't recommend upgrading to SS lines just for the heck of it while the engine is still in the car.
