Worth it or not?

Do you guys think it is worth it to buy a warranty, or do they just screw you over when it comes time to replace something? Anyone that has had an experience please let me know how it was and who they were. Thanx

My warranty costed me about $2000, and they have done about $8000 worth of work. Oh I think it was worth it

I simply got the BEST one that covered EVERYTHING. If you get the minimum plan, they usually tend to be very picky as to what is covered or not. The warranty company I had was Chrysler extended warranty contract.

Yeah, I agree with getting a warranty. Mine also covers everything, and I've already had about 2000 worth of work done to the car. I got a really good one from API and they haven't given me any ****.

Hey, out of curiosity, can you get a warranty from any company if you bought the car from a private seller? I know its a pretty dumb question, just because of the logic behind it. . .but i was just curious. Any help is very much appreciated.

Freak Monkey, i know for a fact, if you do any major work; i.e. single turbo, it will void the warranty. For most stock cars, only factory exhaust, or close factory/aftermarket manufactures will not void the warranty, and you also have to have the dealer install them.

examples:
Toyota/ TRD
Acura/ Comptech
Subaru/ (its in the owners manual)

Flyebye and 95R2-89TII Ground Zero,

Thanks for the responses. I felt that it would be a good investment, but if possible could you guys maybe give me a website or phone number of the warranty company you used. Also were there any stipulations with your companies? ie. it had to be stock and stay stock. How about milelage? How long is the warranty good for and does it cover motor, trans, and turbos? How much are the deductibles? A lot of questions but I want to make sure I get the right one. One last question. Even if I have to be stock do you think they would void it if I had exhaust, downpipe, intake and ecu? I would most likely take them off if anything happened. Thanks again.

Fidelity warranty

The best thing I ever did. I purchased my FD last year with 65k on it. After a unfortunate experience with a local Mazda dealer my o rings were shot.I purchased a warantey for 26k or two years( silver package) Since then I had a new motor installed, fifth gear syncro replaced , about 7,000 of work and the warranty cost me 1,500. So its well worth it !!! I dont have the number on me but I will post it for you thursday !!!

94 touring/ PFS intercooler, KN air filter, Pfs exhaust,99j spec wing .... and new motor with less than 100 miles
