Wont start (i searched)

I warmed my car up this morning while i was getting a shower, so by the time i was ready to leave it was at full operating temp, but i noticed when it was idling it was a wierd kind of idle i dont know how to explain it. but then it drove fine no problems, got to the gas station shut it off and filled up. got back in and went to start it.... just cranks doesnt turn over. i checked the battery voltage with my meter, and the battery was fine. i have no idea what to do. I was thinking either fuel, or spark plugs, but i just replaced my plugs a week ago. anyone have any idea?

probably fuel pump failure, maybe fuel filter. have seen it happen a million times at gas stations.

check to see if your fuel pump is still working. if it's fine, then try replacing the fuel filter.

when i first saw it, i immediately thought plugs... but if you just changed them....

there's only 2 things things: fuel and spark.

Wow that's neat so what happened to much voltage? Couldnt you just clip the connectors and solder the wires together?

yea that bugged me a lot about the fire issue. and no i dont really wanna solder it, i was thinking whoever was in there before to put in the walbro fuel pump didnt put the electrical grease on there to stop with corrosion and helps with the resistance. i messed with the connectors after we had it apart and i heard a crunching sound coming from the one connector and when i took it out it just fell apart. we did an ohm test with my meter and the ground side read good at 0.2 ohms and the power side read 257,000 ohms so somehow the resisitance got too high and burnt the hell out of it, im just glad that it didnt burn past the connector.

That is some scary ****.

I'd PM Fritz Flynn and get a whole new assembly. I don't think Mazda sells those parts separately.
