Who else owns an EXTREMELY low mileage FD?

Hey...I was wondering who else here owns an FD with similar mileage to one of mine...in November, I bought my MB Base FD with 5,142 original miles and a 12/95 build date...it wasn't sold new till April 1997 and I got it from the original owner. It still has the original tires (in great condition, no rot) and I just changed out the original plugs (very sentimental experience!). I'd like to talk to anyone else with a similar car about their experiences with it, including any snags from sitting for long periods of time, etc. and just out of curiosity too! Thanks!

I bought a 93 CYM R1 completley stock with only apex exhaust. It only has 16k original miles on it. It has the original wires on it, which just went out about an hour ago. I am waiting for them to get to mazda tomorrow. Iginition wires going out is not a fun experience.

Compared to the 220 and 5000 mile FDs it's not extremely low but my daily driver is a 9/92 that I bought with 11,XXX original miles and currently has 18,XXX. It had all the reliability mods done including a vented hood and heat wrapped downpipe so I expect 100,XXX miles even with my type of abuse. My best friend also had a 12/95 with 50,XXX original but it was sold to him stolen so he returned it to the original owner. There is also a 93 AT MB similar to mine for sale at Marlin Mazda with 1,XXX original miles and never been sold or titled. $50,000.........
I like this thread. Let's post pics.

True story! I paid $22,500 Cash! The only problem I had were two recalls and the water pump gasket was leaking. I guess from sitting for 8+ years in a heated garage. Oh, and shes still a virgin!

I know this orthopiedic Doctor that has an all original 1993 VRTouring with 5,900 miles
Original bra, original car cover, Thick sheepskin seatcovers to protect the seats from the elements and always garaged.

He drives it in to town every Sunday to buy the Paper and back. Three miles every Sunday.
Oh, and Remember he wont like to brake his bones so he doesn't drive too wild! First hand experience I guess being he's an orthopiedic surgen and all

Mines a 95 Base, with a built date of 12/95 as well. I wish mine had 5000 some mile coz mine is right at 90000 miles. Just had my motor rebuilt, and it has been taken care of (minus few things ) I love my FD, and it's good in a way that i don't have a low mileage, coz i don't have to worry about always keeping my miles in check. Hell, i am planning on driving the **** out of it this summer.

Are you talking about the black FD parked in his living room? Last time I saw it, it had 300+ miles on it...

Live a little man. If you really wanna keep that FD low mileage, go and buy ANOTHER FD to beat the crap outta it as was meant for it. I just turned over 87K on the original motor & twins, and I'm proud of it!

Who's Ivan btw?
