Where does this plug hook up to???HELP!!! LOL...

I circled it in the image. I'm currently getting an annoying beep, and a low coolant light even though I have plenty of coolant. I'm guessing it's because of this plug, but I can't find the male part to plug into it. can anyone take some pictures of where the plug comes from, so it might help me locate it. LOL....
Thanks guys you have been a great help so far.
Ralph

I can't say for sure and don't have my car with me to check but I think I have the same unplugged connector on my '94 R2. I don't have the cruise control and am pretty sure that's what mine was for.

Thats Cruise control with out a doubt.I took mine off so Im positive. If your coolant buzzer is still ringing you should check with dont be a rikki. I remember he had this a few weeks back and figured it out. I cant remember exactly what he had to do. I believe he did leave something unpluged. Did you reset the ECU? Just a stab really. Depress the brake and turn the key on /off three times . Well if that doesn't do it contact Rikki through PM. He is often found in the NE .

Did you reset the ECU?
I was under the impression that to reset the ECU you have to disconnect the Neg batt cable and hold the brake pedal down for 15-20 seconds. Has anyone else tried it with this key method?

As always thanks guys. I'm going to have to check with Rikki to see what he did. I'll post another thread for the warning buzzer and maybe someone will know the answer. I'm going to try the ECU reset now.

Don't worry about it if your car NOT automatic.

R-1s & R-2s don't have any connector in the harness for cruise control - it was not available on the "R" models! If you car has a cruise connector it either is not an r-2 or has had the wiring harness replaced.

Question

Nope, car has the stock wiring harness and Yes the car is a factory R2 version. The plug shown in the pic is the same plug I have unplugged.

I know all R-versions came from the factory without cruise control but that isn't to say that they don't have the plug sitting there for "non" R-versions.

It'd be much cheaper for Mazda to throw in the same wiring harness for all RX-7's regardless of whether they came with cruise or not don't ya think?!

Not true!!!!

All R models have the wiring for cruise. The above statement is 100% incorrect.

Cruise a bolt in for any R model, get the parts and plug it in. It works.
