Question Where can I buy a TPS?

Hello Guys!

I cant find any site that sells TPS for the rx7 FD (1999)

So does anyone know a site that sells Throttle position sensor for the FD?

Thanks!

Fortunately, TPS didn't change over the years, so the earlier ones fit.

Bear in mind, there's auto and manual types. Sticky up top ^^ should give you the vendor of preference, in the US.

So 93-95 modell will work just fine?

Found 93-95 at https://www.mazdatrix.com/93-95Electrical-Engine.htm

If the 3G? (second from top) wire WOT doesnt respond to any adjustment and is only 5.01-5.02v, does that warrant a tps change? Or is that reading good enough.

Also, it hits 5.01v when the throttle is about halfway open, and holds it to WOT.

Couldn't say, maybe there's some resistance differences? You'd have to wonder why Mazda would make and then maintain inventory of two types for no reason.

Rockauto do export, use fedex from memory - no USPS, price normally not the usual courier rip. I think Malloy price was near $US150.....here, closer to $400!!

If you run an aftermarket ECU (and some plug-ins perhaps), you can adapt a garden variety 3 wire tps and avoid the second-hand lucky dip or exorbitant new prices with a spacer and an internal M8 thread on a shaft with a flat milled on it.

I couldn't find them for some reason.

You could always get in touch with Ray at Malloy Mazda
https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...mazda-1033616/

Are you sure you need a TPS? They don't fail that often but they do go out of adjustment.

Buy the one that matches your trans (standard or auto)

N3A118911, Standard Trans
N3A218911, Automatic Trans

The mechanic said that the tps shows different each time he tests it so it seems broken. I managed to buy from mazdatrix and it will arrive in a week or two

Same here. I adjusted my TPS because my idle was ridiculously out of whack. I was able to adjust the TPS so that it was within all the ranges except for the WOT range on the wire second from the top reads 5.01, after about half throttle to full throttle. Although my idle is much better, it's still only about 90% fixed. Does that reading mean my TPS is on it's way out or already needs to be replaced?
