When I corner hard I hear a grind

When I make a hard left turn especially under hard acceleration I hear what sounds like a grinding noise from the rear. Any Ideas?

If its from the rear, it could either be the differential or a hub bearing. Have you jacked up the car and just moved the wheels around to see if they make noise?

I hear the same thing when starting off from a slow start cutting it to the right. Prolly a bearing. Don't hear it too often though.

If it is more like a fast knocking or vibration it may be a power plant frame issue. In my case it was.

left turn grind

Well I checked dp (no rubbing), motor mounts are good, that thick vertical piece running down the middle that supports the frame is good, suspension is fine, wheel bearings are good, so my conclusion is its coming from the diff maybe caused by the limited slip or something. Anyway its only when Im really hard on it and feel like sliding around that its a problem.

could be the CV joints(axles) if the universals start cracking they will cause this phenomenon, like when a honda civic takes off around a corner and you hear a loud "clack, clack, clack". Check that the rubber boot around the axle shaft is in tact and that the steel slide wire hasn't popped loose, if it has it could be the axle universal joint is going. If the diff is going bad, you will usually know it by loud and thunderous "clunk" and then the car rolls!

i have that sound to. found out just recently. it grinds when i'm trying to accelerate hard out of the left hand corner. It only happens when i'm realy hard on throttle thats why I think it has something to do with LSD kicking in.
