Granted my last post was way too long, I still think it is somewhat justified. If you pay for your car all by your lonesome, power to you. It isn't easy for most of us. If you are helped out with it by parents or family, that's cool too. Respect the car? Treat it well? That is cool too. I am just saying not everyone that owns an RX-7 is on RX7club and a good portion of the people that get these cars as either their first or second car, end up totalling it or blowing the motor. It is not opinion it is fact. The people on this site are enthusiasts seeking to learn more about their car and maybe experience some sort of fellowship with other owners. That or they come for the Lounge , but trust me when I say the general mindsets of the teens that are forum members, and the teens getting the car because Vin Diesel drove it, are like apples and oranges. A lot of people also think they are too cool for the forum and it is for losers. Again let me state!!

NOT ALL YOUNG PEOPLE WITH 7's ARE IDIOTS

The fact that I feel I'm in love every time when I see it. Just like when I was young. Seeing someone I love is priceless. Yeah, I'm still in love w/ it. But, only when it's in working condition tho.

Fritz X,

That was so funny!! I do agree with you.. I think you do need to be experienced to drive the 7. I personally do think that its quite a car stock... and quite scary when modded. It takes time to understand the car and also most should know how the car works. I've taken out 4 engines and broken down 6 engines. Everytime I do it, I learn more.. I do know few young guys taken out the engine and all.. and few older guys who never messed with the car except taking it a shop..
Best thing about owning this car, the forum members who love to share their ideas and willingness to help. When I moved from Cincinnati, OH to Birmingham, AL.. First person I met was SPOautos and now he is one of the closest friend. Also helped me greatly on my car... RX7 guys in general are understanding people, whom are willing to help fellow 7 owners.. That, I think is the dividing factors between 7 owners and other car owners..

I love everything about my FD. Whenever I see it, I have the biggest smile on my face and can bend over and give my car a big smooch with all my love.
Its so unique noone ever knows what it is and is so surprised by the power.
The way it feels like a cockpit sending me to a realm of euphoria whenver I sit in it.
Godamn this is a car crafted by God itself and God save me from my love of it..Bitches

- How looking at her still makes me say "Damn" EVERY time

- How the interior makes you feel like the car is a glove wrapped around you

- How I can scare the living daylights out of myself w/ her at 3/4 throttle

- The frowns, dirty stares, and bewildered looks elderly drivers give me hehe (haven't decided if that's cuz of the car, or my driving LOL)

- How the RX7Club and it's members are like a cult

- How no matter how much she breaks down, no matter how much it's gonna cost, no matter how late at night she needs a tow, it's ALWAYS worth it once I get her back up and running

Like others have said, "it just feels right". You don't get into this car, you wear it.

Talking

the wave from other 7 owners- new, old, whatever...

If I get pissed I just go out and cruise (I cant now, shes in FL )

The stares and the "how bigs this engine?" or "is that a V8?"

"Whats a ro-tree?"

The people pulling me over to ask questions...

The unsuspecting jerk who thinks hes going to smoke me... then gets his *** handed to him.

Like someone said, the fact that everyone thinks you lie about having nitrous when the sec turbo kicks in... It is kinda cool at ~120 when the car "wakes up".

The ability to corner so damn hard that you look over at your friend and he is pinned to the door.

The day my friend was sleeping on the way back from Rockingham RCWY. He woke up, looked over at the speedo, and noticed we were going almost 170. He about **** a solid gold brick.

And lastly... The day I gave my dad a ride. Hes a hardcore muscle guy, having owned a Superbee, 396 Chevelle SS, Challenger, 55 chevy w/427, etc. I asked him if he was going to put on his seatbelt... he replyed "What, are you gonna try to SCARE me with this little ricemobile?!" As I yanked forward I look over, and in slow motion-like memory I can see him desperately trying to get the belt on... CLASSIC!

THINGS I HATE

My 7s in FLORIDA and Im in ENGLAND.

How all the riceboys feel the need to prove themselves.

How people always think you are "racing" them just because they hear the blow off valve. (ive heard that days earlier I was beaten, unknowingly)

The addiction.

Mines a target for theft, birdshit, vandalism, and tree limbs.

How I feel like a bastard when I wont let someone drive her because its a totally different car than most people are used to driving. The TWO people Ive let drive her spun her around. GOING STRAIGHT!

How everyone knows what they are now, NOT because of what they are... BUT because of that stupid movie.

All of the above. Especially the curves of the car, and the curves you can destroy on the road

trust me this is not a good thing. I pissed many people off where I live. they've keyed my car front to back twice on both sides, egged it, toilet papered and suran wrapped it, put super glue in valve stems, throw beer bottles at it, you name it. Either that or I live by a ton of jealous bastards. Some people have actually told me right after I bought my 350Z, "why do you need two sports cars?" "isn't one enough?" what the hell man? can I just live my life and drive the cars I want and just be left alone? Why does it have to concern them? I worked way too hard for what I have. If they are jealous DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR CURRENT SITUATION!!!
