i tagged the rev limiter in 5th gear in the fc a couple times.

fd has only seen 160-165 because i got some ignition breakup. ordered a reluctor adapter for the haltech, and hopefully i'll see 180+ out of it.

About 165 mph when I first got my car about 5 years ago. Had ECU, intake, and exhaust. I'm pretty confident I can peg the needle now with my current setup. But I won't try it again on public streets. Don't want my car impounded, and get arrested.

this is bullshit, i have had my batmobile 175-180 countless times!!! everyone is bullshitting here saying that it cannot be done. hell, i have countless video of me pulling 150+.

off hand, from san diego to scramento i took it to 180. its a straight road and all you do is go fast. people who have done that trip know what i am talking about. more people lose thier license on that stretch of road then any other place in the US.

also the merge ramp from the 15 going into the 5 i top out my car at 180. also on the 5, where camp pendleton is, every freaking car is pulling well past 120mph. i if you are in california and you really want to find out how fast it can go, there are so many places you can find out for yourself.

call bullshit if you want, i will make a video and top out my car on I-5...

The FD gearing will let you hit 175-180, if you have enough power. No one's said any different....

EDIT -- If you are planning to hit those speeds again, I hope you are at least intelligent enough to carefully check the tires and the rest of the car over before doing so...

personally i think people are really nervous going past 150+ with thier pride and joy, i do not blame them. i love my car to death! the only reason why i think i am crazy enough to do this is because i fly planes on my off time trying to get more hours to become a naval astronaut. the navy has a flying club that i am a member of :-D

Your car has a PFC and all the bolt-ons now, what is that going to prove?

Take it were talking speedo readings here...whats 180 likely to really be, prob about 10% out at them speeds depending on wheels so about 162?

I've done a measured 157.4 on an airstrip day over a mile, not sure what the speedo reading was though as I was distracted by the loud bang of my stock plastic IC piping exploding when I came off the gas

It proves what I mentioned earlier to him earlier:

I'm not sure why I felt the need to mention that. You have made it abundantly clear on your own.

Countless time huh. Well then it's not so much a question of bullshit as one of being a dumbass to do that on a public highway, no matter how straight it is. And don't give me "it's late at night and no one is around" and "I know what I'm doing". Because THAT would be bullshit.

the fastest I have been in my FD was a 168mph at the end of a standing mile top speed run I was recorded by a radar speed trap for competition here in the UK. I was pulling approx 7300rpm in 5th still pulling hard but hit the end of the mile so had to brake.

172 ....had about 2 miles open highway. 165 is easy, it accelerates pretty slow after that.

Someone has got to get Gainer renaig to resize his damn sig. everyone has seen a bolt on FD before wawaouiwa.

I beleive 290km/h is possible with no rear spoiler. Did 275km/h without it at 6500rpm last year with all the bolt ons.
