What would you pay?

I'm buying another fd from a good friend. It's a red 1993 with 34K original miles. He's the 2nd owner and purchased the car in 1995 with 17K miles. It is a base model (no sun roof) that came with factory saddle leather . It is 100% stock and the only thing it needs is a 5th gear syncro otherwise it's mint. I have to get it shipped it from NY to CA. What do you guys think is a fair price?

For real though, I would probably put down about 15 or 16 if it's truly mint.

Private Party Value $14,705 - from http://www.kbb.com

You might check yourself, as your zip code will impact the price

I'd offer less than this since it has a mechanical problem... get a quote for the repair and subtract it out. Oh, and I don't think you can consider your shipping cost in the equation. That's your problem.
