what is this vacuum for?

it goes from the UIM to the turbo y-pipe. What is the use of that pipe?

If you're talking about the "empty pipe" then I couldn't tell you what it was intended for but mine and others are the same, nothing there. At first I thought a hose had come off but there was never one on.

If you're talking about the other yellow one than I don't know. The entire system is a complex one for sure.

I think he's talking about the one with a circle around it and 2 arrows pointing lol

Puma I think it's something to do with the pcv system or some kind of pressure relief. I kept it in my single turbo setup. I never remove anything that we don't know about 100% and tested.

Hows the supra!?

The yellow hose you have circled is a "air injection" into the LIM. It Puts air from thr turbo side into the LIM and helps atomize the fuel for a smoother idle and "not as rich" of a mixture.

There is debate to whether it is needed, but those that have removed it have experienced rich conditions and have had to Tune accordingly

Hope that helps out.

Here is a good single diagram that contains some debate about this hose as well as Purge systems see entire thread for details

now that's what i wanted to know, thanks.

but at idle there will be no pressure since the turbos are barely spinning... so how can it help to atomize?

Actually the turbos are always spinning even at idle. Before there is enough exhaust enery the turbo will not spin fast enough to create pressure. So it is just extra air being sent to do the work at idle or otherwise.
