Angry What type of intake system do you have?

I am sure there has been a poll on this, but I missed it!

And the search engine sucks!

please let me know, Am asking b/c quite frankly, I have an m2 and the fitment is horriable. I want one that will allow good flow but also fits nicely, Everyone's concept am sure. I just want to know what YOU 7 ethusiast have.

thanks in advance.

I have the Blitz SUS intake, again the instructions sucked but its really a super easy insall. It also looks really nice, and does not wear out because it is mesh.

I also have the Apex'i Power Intake. Looks great, works great, fits great. The only problem I have with it is I am limited in what Intercooler I can upgrade to when I upgrade.

I had the RE Amemiya Intake, but was forced to get another intake when I got my Huge M2/ASP SMIC.

I made my own custom cold air intake using two 3x6" cylindrical K&N filters(the same as the ones used in the Pettit intake).

I also ran two 3" ducts from the nose of the car to the K&N's and fabbed an aluminum(polished) heat shield.

M2 aluminum, no problem at all. What is it about the fitment that sucks anyway?

I have a similar custom K&N setup to RyanREX. BTW, the search engine doesn't suck too bad, there have been tons of posts on intakes recently. I was looking up a bunch of info within the past month and didn't have any trouble finding what I needed.

I have the Blitz. I love the looks, the sound and response and it comes with a heat sheald.

If you want to do the "DIY" K&N deal. You can make it similar to the Pettit buy purchasing this RE Amemiya heat shield from jt-imports.com

Ack, stupid Netscape, damn firewalls.
You'll have to fo to the site and look it up.

M2 Carbon fiber, fits like a glove Installation can be tricky if you don't do some of the little things like removing the small side bracket.

first, The bottom of the m2's box where the second turbo piping is surpose to go to is to low , thus makeing the rubber factory hose bend more than what is consider good. As a matter of fact, I think my motor may have went because of it. first the intake would bent under heavy throttle and all of a sudden the intake pipe would be reduce in efficiency, AND maybe that cause a problem. and so on .. Second the box should of been just a little bit bigger in demention so that the intake will have more area to take in air.

I have a PFS intake. It has a large K&N filter in fiberglass box, so if you like to keep the air pump and BOV connected, it is quiet and improves flow quite a bit! My only complaint is that it is designed to hook into the PFS intercooler cowl, which I do not have.

PFS intake - it is a nice unit, but it is a major pain in the *** if you want to clean the K&N filter inside the cold air box.
