What was that stuff for warter leaks?

I remember a while ago reading a thread where someone said as long as your water seals aren't leaking to bad there is this product you can get that will possibly seal them up again. I'm not losing to much water, but I am getting a champagne looking coolant when I run it with my radiator cap off. Does anyone know the product I'm talking about? And if you do, do I just add it to my coolant?

Thanks

Ah good to know...The thing is I'm not entirely convinced it's a water seal. Form what I've been reading the it's not that accurate of a test. I'm not seeing any white smoke and where there is coolant under the car it's in the middle not off to the passenger side from an over flowing reservoir. I hope I'm just being paranoid about it. It's just since I bought the car back in Janurary there isn't a month where something hasn't gone wrong. The seller swore to me that the engine only had 4k on it, but I couldn't get the receipts till later and low and behold more like 40k on the rebuild. I just can't seem to find where it's leaking from.

Get a coolant pressure tester and find that leak, then monitor your coolant level once you fix all the leaks.

Okay, so I went down to look at the coolant again. The car was cool enough that I could open the radiator cap safely, but what I noticed is that I'm still seeing the champagne bubbles even with the car not on....WTF is that normal?

Some chain parts stores will loan them. Nothing special to a rotary. "Stop Leak" products will work but there are consequnces and it just delays the inevitable. If it is a failed seal don't wait too long. Seal grooves can corrode and cause a junk iron.

The thing is, while the car is running I can't see a leak. Even when I pull into a parking spot after a drive, no leaks, come out in the morning and there is a tiny puddle of coolant on the floor.

You can rent one from Autozone or Advanced Auto, the one from Advanced is a nicer kit but both should work fine to track down your leak.

Blue Devil....
It will help seal things up.... Cost is about $70 for a bottle....

My son blew a hose and over heated his FD.... Added the Blue Devil and it ran for over 6 months with no issues.... Pulled and rebuilt the motor since he blew the tranny racing a Lambo...

Sounds like you have a leak and not seal issues---esp if there's no smoke..

My '93 had cooling issues, overflowing radiator, smoke on start up. once the engine got warm enough the pressure of the coolant would build and it seemed like it would no longer leak--wouldnt over heat or drip out...just TONS of smoke on start up.

Ran strong and fine, couldnt take it out on very hot days though. This doesn't sound like your problem. it is probably just a small leak from somewhere

What I was going to suggest, I have half a bottle sitting in the back, never tried it on a rotary though works great on piston engines.

Yeah, Blue Devil probably couldn't solve that. BTW, did he beat the Lambo at least?
